Motor installed and tested, looks to be quite accurate. Tamron 300mm f2.8 lens arrived yesterday, it's VERY heavy, this whole unit weighs in at 35kg! Hence why I chose to go with this design, everything is balanced so there is minimal load on the motor. Next job is to get it installed on the pier and properly aligned.
I was going to try to get a part count for something, and not having access to my bricks I was going to use the new LDD 4.1 in extended mode.
The problem is that I can't attach anything to the underside of any track pieces!? Plus there are no switch tracks available.
I know, yadayada LDraw, yada.

Sarah swimming with Suzie and Neil by the waterfall. It's amazing how many people cave to peer pressure.
A section of track with ballast for a PennLUG-compatible curve. A tie has been removed to show how they fit. Every other tie is attached by a single pip so it covers the wedge of space that cannot be filled.
Note that this build is fragile when handled. If you hold it by the door rails, they WILL come off.

More shots for the (possibly) turtle tracks.
There were a few rows of these tracks at the beach today. They went from the high tide line up into the dunes. They look like turtle tracks.
The tracks meandered all over the place. It looked like multiple paths, so possibly different animals. I never thought to measure, but the tracks were probably on average about 23 cm across.
This photo shows how the apparent "tail drag" is no longer evident in the dry sand.

I like 8 Track sound once in a while, so I digitalized a favorite album I have on 8 Track - even leaving in the track change clicks and the duplication start signal at the beginning. I've seen this album on ebay as an LP which would sound better, but I like it this way since this is how I heard it back then. This Soundesign 8 Track player was my first.
A tracked Jeepish thing, just a small build.
