A rail road crossing and bridge, Pickerington Ohio. I was required to take a different route to school one day. I ended up on the tracks for a while. Luckily there were not trains. The color, and effect were all natural.
Taken with one of my Pentax 35MM film cameras.

I liked the tracks in the sand but the sky was grey and lifeless. A little tintype process saved it from the bin.
Tintype
The process was first described by Adolphe-Alexandre Martin in France in 1853, and patented in the United States on February 19, 1856 by Hamilton Smith, professor at Kenyon College, in Ohio. William Kloen also patented the process in the United Kingdom in the same year.
It was first called melainotype, and then ferrotype (by a rival manufacturer of the iron plates used); finally came the name tintype.
All three names describe both the process and the resulting photograph.
While the ambrotype remained very popular in the rest of the world, the tintype process had superseded the ambrotype in the United States by the end of the Civil War. It became the most common photographic process until the introduction of modern, gelatin-based processes and the invention of the reloadable amateur camera by the Kodak company. Ferrotypes had waned in popularity by the end of the 19th century, although a few makers were still around as late as the 1950s and the images are still made as novelties at some European carnivals. -/- from Wikipedia.

This is a continuation from my photo travels the other day. I headed into town after being happy with my tree find. I originally went into town to finally pick up a game for my PS3, but something compelled me to drive to a parking lot and walk the railroad tracks. I am glad I did.
This marks the second time I have roamed the tracks in downtown Madison. This trip brought me to a bridge that crosses a small river. The fog was insane and really added to the atmosphere here. I snagged a few shots with many Stephen King books roaming through my mind. It is really amazing just how much fog can change the mood of a scene.
I really debated on making this a black and white photo. I choose not to in order to preserve the rusty tracks. Some photos I take instantly tell me what I need to do for processing. This happens to be just one of those photos.
Enjoy!

Another little detail that's somewhat hard to notice is the Tracker's Mask - it's got quite a bit of scarring on one side! You know, I think that maybe he learned a very valuable lesson one day while he was taking care of his animals.
Tracking display in one of the launch and guidance control vans. Nike Hercules Site SF-88L is at the center, and the greater San Francisco Bay Area is represented clearly.
Obsolete today, selenium rectifiers were commonly used in military and civilian electronic equipment during the service life of the Nike Hercules system. While they were more reliable than vacuum tube rectifiers, this warning is a testament to the hazards they could pose when they did fail.
Nike Hercules Site SF-88L, the only restored Nike Hercules launch site in the United States. It is located within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area in Marin County, California, north of San Francisco.

"Absolutely-grabbing-this" when i saw it on the rack! This one here is a replica of the truck driven by yellow driver of Team Hotwheels. With all that insane stunts you ought to get one too!, not to mention its lovely tempo and all the details... (casting design by Phil Riehlman :D)
I was so busy lately that i couldnt find a time to shoot my cars. No new stuff from my area too until recently >:( Now back in Malaysia only to find them selling at unbelievably high price :S (in Aussie its even cheaper) and the Prime Minister Noojb says the economy is on the right track! Off track it is!!!
Drilled a viewhole to monitor the tracking once the cover is on. Its not realy neaded for the blade stays where it is tracked, but its a nice touch.
Also made the knob to adjust the blade guide.
Here is a shot taken during the long jump events at the annual Chico Multi-event Classic at Chico State where decathlon and heptathlon track and field events for men and women were held over a 2-day period. I get a big kick out of the facial expressions and body positions assumed by the athletes during this event.
Image was shot with Nikon D750 + 80-200 f/2.8.

The Race Track is located in an isolated section of Death Valley National Park. It takes patience and a decent vehicle to navigate the 50+ miles of dirt road to make the round trip.
The Race Track is best known for its mysterious moving rocks. The combination of high winds, rain and ice all contribute to the rocks movement along the playa, leaving the tracks that you seen in the photo.
