An unusual track left in the sand - I think it may be from a brittle starfish but no sign of the creature. If anyone can ID the tracks I would be most interested!

I haven't had much luck getting animal photos in the last few weeks. Seeing all the tracks makes it a bit frustrating as I know they are out there. The best I could do was to shoot the tracks and hope to run across the animals who make them.

Amid lake effect snow, CSS #2000 heads west down the City Track to the CN interchange at Curtis Yard. The City Track was a former EJ&E that led to the former Aetna Powder Works on Gary's east side. It is now the South Shore's main interchange route with Canadian National.

With a dusting of snow on the ground at Talsarnau.

We walked carefully on a very small dusting of snow and some icy patches to the estuary at Talsarnau.

Camped alongside the largest stretch of water, Neales River, in the interior on the old Ghan route which traversed Australia from south to north and opened the way of the Overland Telegraph line, climbed the hills the following morning to watch the dawn as the light caught the tops of the desert grasses following a season of above average rain.

Tracks Under Freeway

We see the weasel tracks around the yard and when I walked down the driveway today I see it has well beaten paths over the snow and across the ditch. I wonder if there is more than one. It always amazes me how many animals there are around in the winter. Tracks we don't see in the summer.

A closer look, I think there are a few mouse tracks here also.
