I was waiting for the first northbound train of the day to downtown Los Angeles.
I thought I was alone.

The last overnight road trip we'll be taking with the granddaughters this summer took us to see the tracks of dinosaurs that were left in the Paluxy riverbed. Thankfully, the water levels were low enough that we did get to see some of them and wow, it's hard to believe that they still exist.
More photos to come but this one was the best. Straight out of the camera without edits. This is rock , not mud!
When the track is up, the boats in the canal pass under. Seen in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, along the New River Walkway.
Made by Suzuki as the Sidekick, and sold by Chevrolet dealers as the Geo Tracker from 1989 to 1997. The Geo name was phased out after 1997.

Tracking Drought — A hydrologic technician from the USGS Idaho Water Science Center measures streamflow in Lightning Creek at Clark Fork, ID. The USGS is collecting data at hundreds of sites on rivers and streams in six western states to document the 2015 drought. The Epix continued to receive GPS signals even while I was inside the hospital. That's the benefit of the addition of GLONASS.

The ME Models curve track components expand our repertoire of track configurations even further when combined with the standard TLG R40 switch.
Shown above are reference designs for return curve sidings spaced at 8-stud intervals. This configuration could be useful for stations with an island platform for example. All sidings align to 16-stud intervals and can therefore return back symmetrically to form a loop. Also shown are double sidings configured in a quasi-ladder configuration and also maintaining alignment with the 16-stud grid.
An interesting pattern emerges with the return curve configurations; each 8-stud spacing requires the addition of 1.5x full straights and a reduction of radius of 16-studs over the 22.5 deg return sector. Neat result!
This is just a cool picture I found. I haven't done hurdles on a couple years and that was my first time in a while. And no, I did not mean to have a thumbs down to my opponents next to me :p
It became foggy only for a short time.
We have a Milford Track video for those interested in watching our experience of it www.youtube.com/watch?v=_q4-0fGlORI and also a geocaching video on Queenstown www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uRiLN_2dNw
This picture was taken in Wood Buffalo National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site for the largest free-roaming herd of buffalo and protecting the only nesting site in the world of the endangered whooping cranes. It was one of the neatest places I have seen and I plan on going back! This picture depicts the tracks of buffalo in the salt plains. Taking my shoes off and walking on the salt plains barefoot was an interesting tactile experience.
