book 'Bicycling.' It's well worth trying to search it out. There's a great amount of information on American bike racing and cycling in general in it.

The last overnight road trip we'll be taking with the granddaughters this summer took us to see the tracks of dinosaurs that were left in the Paluxy riverbed. Thankfully, the water levels were low enough that we did get to see some of them and wow, it's hard to believe that they still exist.

More photos to come but this one was the best. Straight out of the camera without edits. This is rock , not mud!

When the track is up, the boats in the canal pass under. Seen in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, along the New River Walkway.

Ferrari 488 Pista

Pont du Mont Blanc, Geneva

As mentioned in a previous post, I missed the black F12 TDF the first time it drove past but thankfully it came back with this 488 Pista in tow. With the Pista still being brand new and limited they are very rare and this is the first one ive spotted on the road. In my opinion the spec is incredible, the bright yellow stripes contrasts brilliantly with the dark grey.

Tracking Drought — A hydrologic technician from the USGS Idaho Water Science Center measures streamflow in Lightning Creek at Clark Fork, ID. The USGS is collecting data at hundreds of sites on rivers and streams in six western states to document the 2015 drought. USGS scientists will analyze the data to identify which rivers and streams may be most vulnerable to future droughts.

This built was intended as a gift to my friends, Zoe and Sky, that are responsible for Wild Track.

Their "mission is to protect endangered species using a unique combination of advanced data analytics, artificial intelligence, and traditional ecological knowledge."

They "specialize in footprint identification technology (FIT). Footprints are many times easier to find than the animals themselves, and now that" they "can decode them, they can inform us on where species are, and where their individuals roam."

Zoe's favourite animal is the rhinoceros and since back in July of 2021 I had built the tiny rhinoceros as part of my 3 Companions project, it seemed fit to start with him. So I had the little calf... all I needed was his mother.

Making a bigger animal meant that I would have to study the animal's anatomy... and that's when the questions started to line up... white rhino... black rhino... they are both grey... which one was I trying to build? One of the distinct traces of the tiny rhino I had previously built was the square lip, that is also a characteristic of the white rhino, while the black rhino has a pointed lip. So it was decided, I was building a white rhino. I than tried to incorporate the most of the real animal into my built, such as the hoofs, the muscles of the legs, the hump and curvature of the back.

All this investigation proved to be productive because when I first unveiled the built Sky said: "You know, this is a white rhino!"

That just made my day.

It was a pleasure to build this, not only because I wanted to create an unique gift for Zoe and Sky but also because it was a lot of fun and challenging to incorporate that amount of detail into such a small construction.

Enough talk go and check the wonderful work they do in www.wildtrack.org .

The Epix continued to receive GPS signals even while I was inside the hospital. That's the benefit of the addition of GLONASS.

Pretty sure this Porsche had straight pipes because it was LOUD! There was a very nice noise coming out of the exhaust constantly. Throughout the whole rev range it sounded great. - Eastern Creek, Sydney
