I was out for a ski today, and saw these tracks. They reminded me of the game "Fox and Geese" that we used to play on the playground. I don't know if anyone else remembers this game, but I think it's a thing of the past.

Peratallada is between the protohistoric Iberian town of Ullastret and the ancient mine of Clots de Sant Julià and just to the east of Canapost which has its own set of archaeological distinctions. Here we can see bedrock worn into tracks from repetitive wheel use. Peratallada most probably also used rock from the Clots de Sant Julià mine site. Similarities with the neolithic cart track megasite in Malta known vividly as 'Clapham Junction' have been drawn. The proximity of these marks to the origin of the wheel can be debated with the site in effect recording tracks within tracks. An infill of crazy paving may not have been the best solution for this site on the edge of a well know mostly medieval town in the Baix Empordà region of northern Spain.
A very inviting track to an old derelict farmhouse. However, the plethora of private property signs and threats of prosecution, as well as many padlocked gates keeps the place at a distance.
