The white glow comes from the floodlighting at Firhill, during a game between Partick Thistle and Raith Rovers. Thistle won, the Raith Rovers website recording - The Dickensian fog was still a factor, with visibility poor. At pitch level, the players looked unaffected, but supporters peering through the gloom at MacDonaldโs goal had their work cut out following the play.

One of our favourite walks, between Wolverton and Cosgrove by the Grand Union Canal.
Another view from the Thames and Severn canal. The canal is no longer in use but itโs a haven for wildlife and a lovely place to walk in any season.
