The Towpath in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Today you can walk or ride along the same path that the mules used to tow the canal boats loaded with goods and passengers. You can still see remnants of that former scene as you pass many of the canal locks and related structures. From the vantage point of the Towpath Trail you can also enjoy the beauty of forests, fields, and wetlands flanking the path as it winds its way through the Cuyahoga River Valley.
Another Infrared image I have been playing with . Still learning how to do these right but its fun .

I was out and about at 4am this morning off to Derbyshire to drop some bits off, on my way back the morning sunrise started to grow, so I took a detour off the motorway into Thorne and found this view on the Stainforth and Keadby canal just on the outskirts of Thorne.
This was taken some 2 miles before the Marple Marina image. The light early on was very poor but brightened up later. All the world are using the canals at present as one can see from the state of the towpath. Canal traffic has increased dramatically since March this year when Covid really took off. On my walk today I saw several occasions where the staff from Canals & Rivers Trust are maintaining the canal system. For a change I took my old Fuji X-T1 camera out with me rather than my Canon DSLR.

As a contrast to my Pride posts, a recent walk along the Grand Union Canal in MK. Not much colour here, although I still spotted a bit of red! Just liked the swan coming along when it did…
