This photo of the Tiger Sky Tower at Sentosa was taken at twilight. Described as the "eye in the sky", this tower is located atop a hillock at Imbiah Lookout. The tower revolves to a height of 131 metres, which is about 50 storeys high. The ride cost S$12 for adults and can hold 72 persons per ride.

This monumental building was the water tower of Rotterdam until 1977. It was designed in 1871 by the city architect C.B. van der Tak. Building was completed in 1874. In the 1860's it became clear that the frequent cholera epidemics of the 19th century were caused by a lack of fresh water. The new tower was going to supply that in abundance. After 1977 the tower and the surrounding complex were re-used as a theater, houses and appartmentblocks. The tower now has several appartments, an office and a restaurant at the groud floor.

Tower Bridge is a combined bascule and suspension bridge in London built between 1886 and 1894. The bridge crosses the River Thames close to the Tower of London and has become an iconic symbol of London.
The lead architect for the bridge was Sir Horace Jones, with Sir John Wolfe Barry appointed as head engineer.
Highlight Towers is a twin tower office skyscraper complex completed in 2004 in Munich, Germany.
The towers are joined by two bridges made of glass and steel combine to offer the two planned by architects Murphy/Jahn of Chicago. Tower I is 126 m (413 ft) with 33 storeys, and Tower II is 113 m (371 ft) with 28 storey which make them among the highest buildings in the city. Located at the McKee Botanical Gardens at Vero Beach, Florida, this sculpture is entitled Tower. It was done by Hans Godo Frabel. (Sorry, my key board dose not have the ability to put the two dots over the "A" in Frabel)
These are drawings of all the towers used in the Marcy South line. I created all these drawings in MS Powerpoint. These drawings include pictures of the towers used in the pre-existing Rock Tavern Roseton 345 kV line. Please note I did not include the first few towers in the Marcy Coopers Corners circuit, as I think those may also have been pre-existing.

Magdalen Tower, by a bridge over the Cherwell River, is one of the main landmarks in Oxford. It was built as part of Magdalen College in 1492-1509. The tower is 144 ft (44 m) high, the tallest strructure in Oxford.

The building was designed so all the apartments caught the Sun at least one a day (weather permitting) and looked like a bow of a ship both ends. ;-)
The Tower Circus is positioned at the base of the tower, between its four legs. The circus first opened to the public on 14 May 1894 and has not missed a season since.
The present interior was designed by Frank Matcham and was completed in 1900.
The circus ring can be lowered into a pool of water and holds 42,000 US gallons (160,000 l; 35,000 imp gal) at a depth of up to 4 ft 6 inches, which allows for Grand Finales with Dancing Fountains. The Tower Circus is one of four left in the world that can do this.
The clown Charlie Cairoli appeared at the tower for 39 years. Britain's best-known ringmaster Norman Barrett worked the ring for 25 years.
Animals appeared in the circus until 1990.
It was planned to close the circus at the end of the 1990 season and replace it with an animatronic attraction. Public opinion and the fact the animatronics were not ready meant that the circus continued.
Today, the circus is produced and directed by Hungarian Laci Endresz, who is married to Maureen, one of the Roberts family who have a long association with the Tower Circus. A live band (sometimes accompanied by Mooky the Clown) provides all the music for the show, often dynamically syncing with the performers' movements. The circus band play a variety of different songs, usually Latin for the acts. In the winter the circus stages a pantomime instead of the regular show.
