The round Malefizturm is a 34 m tall former prison tower. The oldest parts of the round tower date to the late 14th century, the upper parts are early 16th century.

Belém Tower is a fortified tower located in the civil parish of Santa Maria de Belém in the municipality of Lisbon, Portugal. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site (along with the nearby Jerónimos Monastery)because of the significant role it played in the Portuguese maritime discoveries of the era of the Age of Discoveries. The tower was commissioned by King John II to be part of a defence system at the mouth of the Tagus river and a ceremonial gateway to Lisbon.
The tower was built in the early 16th century and is a prominent example of the Portuguese Manueline style, but it also incorporates hints of other architectural styles] The structure was built from lioz limestone and is composed of a bastion and a 30-metre (98.4 ft), four-storey tower. It has incorrectly been stated that the tower was built in the middle of the Tagus and now sits near the shore because the river was redirected after the 1755 Lisbon earthquake. In fact, the tower was built on a small island in the Tagus River near the Lisbon shore

A tower on the border between Unna / Fröndenberg, NRW, Germany. There is a perfect view to the "Sauerland", "Münsterland" and North-East "Ruhrarea".
Den Tower 185 hatte ich schon lange auf meiner Wunschliste. Es sollte wieder eine klassische Schwarz-Weiß-Langzeitbelichtung sein. Aber ihr habt es wahrscheinlich in letzter Zeit schon gemerkt. Davon gibt es von mir immer weniger. Es ist gar nicht so, dass mir die "alten" Bilder dieses Stils gar nicht mehr gefallen - aber irgendwie muss ich etwas Neues ausprobieren. Und so gesellt sich immer mehr Farbe in meine Fotos.
Bei der Bearbeitung des Tower 185 sind die Techniken in Lightroom und in Photoshop im Wesentlichen die gleichen wie bei meiner Schwarz-Bearbeitung - aber angewendet auf ein Farbfoto.
Was meint ihr? Gefällt es euch? Oder sollte ich doch besser wieder zurück zum alten Stil?

Revisited. View from the observation deck of the Shanghai Center (上海ä¸å¿ƒå¤§åŽ¦ aka Shanghai Tower), currently the tallest building in Shanghai and the second tallest in the world.
This is the big Huangpu River bend, with the Bund and the mouth of Suzhou Creek. The Shanghai IFC twin towers in the lower foreground, behind them the "Pearl of the Orient" TV tower.
Also note the sharp border of the smog below the city's inversion zone.

Hassan Tower - is minaret towering over Rabat city.
The tower, built in the late twelfth century, is a symbol of the city. It should be 80 meters high, but it was never finished and reaches 44 meters. It is an example of Moroccan minarets.
The minaret was part of the unfinished mosque Hassan. This work was abandoned as early as 1199, when he died towering temple ruler. Unfinished building survived until 1755 when it collapsed after the earthquake. To this day, preserved only the basics of columns and Hassan Tower.

Wieża, wybudowana pod koniec XII wieku, jest symbolem miasta. Powinien mieć 80 metrów wysokości, ale nie został nigdy skończony i osiąga 44 metry. Jest wzorem marokańskich minaretów. Minaret był częścią nieukończonego Meczetu Hassana. Prace przerwano już w roku 1199, kiedy zmarł wznoszący świątynię władca. Nieukończona budowla przetrwała aż do 1755 roku, kiedy to zawaliła się na skutek trzęsienia ziemi. Do dziś zachowały się tylko podstawy kolumn i Wieża Hassana.

Tower Bridge in London was built between 1886 and 1894, it is a combined bascule and suspension bridge. Many people confuse this as London Bridge, which it isn't, although it's quite possibly London's most famous bridge.
