One of the most racist products I've ever seen. Darlie toothpaste. They actually lightened the color of his face it used to be blacker. Nothing says clean teeth like a man in black face.

Toothpaste and orange juice, pools and cell phones, first dates and unfortunate run-ins with skunks, and artists and bodybuilders: these are a few things you wouldn’t really think go together, but the art of Patrick Brown disproves at least one of those pairs. Why spend your time in the gym when you could be like Patrick Brown and simply draw yourself a Bow-Flex body? We at Creative Tempest love Patrick Brown’s mastery in rendering the human form, and how, even when exaggerating it, he maintains a naturalness to it. Find out more at www.creativetempest.com

Hello Machine of Death.

I would like a Death Prediction card. Enclosed you will find toothpaste and a temporary tattoo, because I could not fit a sewing machine and umbrella.

Eagerly awaiting news of my demise,

LeeAnn Perry

Tooth brushing breaks my spirit. It has to be done every day and it's boring.

But! This Italian toothpaste has been spicing up the ol' quotidian task because it tastes like chocolate and mint!

Hooray for science!

A very very cold wintery morning - so cold even our toothbrushes were snuggled together for warmth!

This is my last finished tube of fiacla toothpaste, which I brought in 2009. The production actaully ended in 2008 but some stores had a few tubes left in late 2009.

With the end of Fiacla, also ended another Irish produced choice. (After Sugar production finished recently)

Fiacla redundancy talks continue after outsource decision

By Pat Boyle

Thursday April 24 2008

THE maker of Fiacla toothpaste, Quantum Personal Care, is still in negotiations with its workforce on the terms of a redundancy deal following its decision to outsource production and close its Co Wicklow-based facility.

Quantum Personal Care is to close its manufacturing facility at Bray, Co Wicklow, in the coming months with the loss of all 28 jobs.

The company said: "It is with regret that the company has had to make the decision to outsource production."

Acquired outright a couple of years ago by distribution group Allegro, Quantum Personal Care plans to outsource production of the brand and is currently in talks with a number of potential manufacturers. Fiacla has an estimated 5pc share of the Irish toothpaste market.

It is hoped that manufacturing of the toothpaste will be retained in Ireland, with a spokesman saying there are a number of firms that would be capable of doing the job.

"The decision to cease production at its Bray plant follows a detailed review of the business, which confirmed that high costs made the plant uncompetitive despite the dedication and hard work of employees over the years," the company said.

The spokesman said that talks with the workers are on-going but declined to elaborate.

"Discussions with staff representatives on redundancy terms are at an early stage.

"As such, it wouldn't be appropriate to comment further," he said.

Range

As well as making the Fiacla brand -- the only Irish-owned product in the market -- the Bray plant has been producing a range of own-brand labels, including a toothpaste for retail giant Tesco.

The company was bought outright by Allegro in 2006 in a deal which valued the business at €1.5m -- the distributor paid €675,000 for the 45pc stake in the business it did not already own. Allegro itself is 90pc owned by fruit distribution-specialist Total Produce.

Founded in 1980 by businessman Richard Brierley, Quantum Personal Care manufactures a range of oral care products.

This is a picture of some toothbrushes and toothpaste. Why is it important to keep your teeth clean and healthy?

Man, do I wish toothpaste still came in these sweet tins. I'm sure it would be way more annoying to get the last bit out of them, but dang. So stylish!

Good morning Asaf.

新牙膏。美嗎?

We ran out of toothpaste, then we started using my travel toothpaste. Then we used Adriana's travel toothpaste (both of them) and finally on Saturday I went out and bought new toothpaste. :)

I know this is a rather strange picture for Saturday in London (which was beautiful by the way) but it struck me as funny that we had four empty (um...seriously empty) tubes of toothpaste on our bathroom sink.
