Every few months we make a new batch of toothpaste... We ran out yesterday, so this was on the to-do list today... As I was mixing things up, the smell reminded me of my dad and the Pearl Drops toothpaste he used when I was growing up. These days, I prefer my homemade pearl paste to the chemical combos of many of the commercial brands, but I will still happy to have this minty inspired moment of nostalgia.

My toothpaste experimentation is finally coming to fruition. I cut
back a bit on the baking soda and have started adding Dr. Bronners
peppermint for a bit of flavor. The consistency is awesome it actually
can stay on top of my toothbrush. I also can taste food without a
flavor compromise after brushing. The ingredient list is something like:
- 2 tbl baking soda
- 1 tbl salt
- 1 tbl glycerin
- 1 tsp Dr. Bronners Peppermint

To support Ukrainian refugees in Poland, the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) and its partners have started to distribute food, hygiene products and baby care products to Ukrainian refugees in Krakow and other cities in Poland this week.
The refugees will receive food like canned pasta, marmalade, cereals, coffee and chocolate, hygiene and baby care products such as shampoo, toothpaste, diapers, formula and female hygiene supplies, as well as cleaning detergent and toilet paper. The aid is meant for about 8,000 people. It will be available in distribution points in Cieszyn, Krakow, and the LWF community centers in Ostroda and Gdansk.

Does anybody remember the natural Colgate herbal white toothpaste from 2004? Yeah, probably not, I think it was only on the shelves for a season. And that commercial with that beaver.
This is what this stuff sorta reminds me of. But the Crest kind tastes better. 'Don't taste like tea though.

I know what you are all thinking, elephant toothpaste? No, it is not toothpaste to brush elephants’ teeth. but it is a science experiment guaranteed to get you an A+. People have used this for years as a way to entertain themselves, but now everyone is using it to experiment with it and get good grades and if you want to learn how to do it, well here is the right place to learn it from. Now first, I want to say that parental advisory is needed if a child is doing this, also it has many chemicals and can injure eyes if you stand too close. This is also not for consumption. Now lets get on with the project.
What you will need:
* 1/2 cup of 20-volume hydrogen peroxide liquid (20-volume is also a 6% solution, this can be found at a beauty supply store)
*1 Tablespoon of dry yeast
*3 Tablespoons of warm water
*Liquid dish washing soap
*Food coloring (optional, it just adds awesomeness)
What to do:
*Put on gloves and goggles because like I said before, it can burn the eyes and bleach certain fabrics.
* Pour hydrogen peroxide in the bottle (using a funnel or something funnel-like can work better).
* Add 5-10 drops of food coloring in the bottle.
*Add about 1 tablespoon of dish soap in the bottle then mix it by swishing it around.
*Mix the warm water add yeast in a separate small cup with a spoon for about 30 seconds (this activates the yeast).
*Remove any large lumps that are in the yeast.
Pour the mixture in the bottle, then stand back fast.
Well, there is your own homemade elephant toothpaste, and you can also make a Paper Mache volcano and make elephant toothpaste in there to make it look like lava and that’s something creative. Hope you enjoyed this, Bye!!

Colgate Herbal Miswak flavour toothpaste in Arabic and English packaging. A miswak is a twig traditionally used as a natural toothbrush in the Middle East. Strangely enough, the packaging says that this particular toothpaste flavour is made in.. Brazil. The toothpaste is also on sale in Singapore but uses the Malay name for miswak.
