My trusty 2013.5MY Ford Mondeo Titanium X 2.0L TDCi about to head off to a vehicle dismantler 150 odd miles away in Birmingham after 5.6 years and about 210,000 miles in my ownership.
With 241,979 miles on the odometer with mileage related wear and tear taking its toll and an uneconomic to repair major powershift gearbox fault which renders the vehicle virtually undriveable, it's the end of the road for this faithful old girl.
The recovery truck driver acting on behalf of the purchaser confirmed it will be broken up for spares. Sad really as it never even made it to its 9th birthday.. ;-(
The duct tape on part of the registration is to prevent ANPR readings during transit. It could be misconstrued that it is in use on a public road while on SORN. It's also illegal to have two separate number plates on display at the rear of any type of vehicle.

ARC trooper Frost stood on docking platform 717 waiting alongside ARC Flare and Sargent Wake for their newly formed TTitanium squad. Part 1itanium squad, consisting of fifteen troopers. Frost: "I thought they were sending us fully grown troops, not just a bunch of inexperienced boys," showing his disapproval. Flare: "Give 'em a break Frost, some of these 'boys' as you call them, have as much experience as you and me, and the shiny ones are top of their class." Frost: "Well, I still don't think they'll watch our backs for us." Just as those words flew out of Frost's mouth, the clone without his helmet on said, "Heh, who does that gray ARC trooper think he is calling 'a shiny'?" Sargent Wake, who had been keeping quiet, shouted at the trooper asking his nickname and number. The clone rolled his eyes and said his name was Buzzard. Sargent Wake replied "I repeat what is your number, your conduct could get you court marshaled for insubordination!" Buzzard retorted, "how would you like it if all of a sudden some Sargent started yelling at you? I have sixty-seven combat missions under my belt and I've destroyed 90 clankers and 12 destroyer
Droids, I DESERVE MORE RESPECT!!!!!! Meanwhile the other troopers looked on in amazement as this veteran trooper openly defied his superior. Frost, quickly dismissed the two troopers before anything big started. He raised his voice and said, "Well what a way to start a mission, I hope you all know what you're doing here, but just in case I'll say it again so listen up! The droid factory on Ringo Vinda, is manufacturing thousands of battle droids a rotation. Also it is rumored to be a research hub with new weapons appearing often, If the power reactors can be shut down and key installations destroyed, it will save the lives of hundreds, even thousands of our brothers" After this all the men were silent. Frost said their shuttle would arrive very soon, so every clone should triple check his weapons and gear. An ARF trooper from the 501st who called himself Grinder nervously asked Frost what were the odds of them surviving and Frost was just about to answer when one of the pilots from their shuttle arrived to say it was time to move out. "All right then boys, you heard the pilot lets get rid of those clankers! Frost said.
My first story mission of many to come!
I thought maybe some of you guys might want to make up multiple story lines to go along with this one it might be fun! Hope you enjoyed my build!
Sincerely,

A spectacular capture of my night launch of the LOC IV on an Aerotech J340 Metalstorm at DairyAire by Tony Slajs. I think this was the largest motor of the evening.
After a perfect flight on a H120 Redline, I borrowed Tom's spare motor, which shifted the center of gravity behind the center of pressure, and instability ensued.
The last launch of the night made for a pretty picture. With a bit of epoxy and fiberglass, the airframe will be ready to fly again.

Pride month 2023 is coming to an end and once again leaves my heart full of joy and appreciation for this huge celebration of love.
Pride month to me is the echo chamber of the only message that really matters any day of the year: "You are love. You are loved."

Looking for titanium oxide can be really fun ;)
I´ve been very busy guys. I promise to catch up soon =)
This office block in central Glasgow is constructed with an amazingly reflective skin - like tinfoil - which gives great diffuse reflections
In all its titanium glory, the SR-71 Blackbird that stands in front of me is at its retirement home the Udvar-Hazy Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum.
The fastest air breathing manned aircraft was developed to be the ultimate reconnaissance mission plane. With a top speed of more than 2200mph there was no catching this plane, these pilots would be home for dinner before most other planes would even make it off the ground to try and catch them.
On its final flight, this particular SR-71 Blackbird flew from Los Angeles to Washington DC in a record setting 1 hour, 4 minutes and 20 seconds.
This particular Blackbird actively served the USAF for 2801.1 hours / 24 years.
I highly suggest making the trip to Udvar-Hazy yourself to see it in person.

Homemade Heatsinks are working well - you can see only light brown discolorations, no blue or pink colors.
I didn't bother with a driver this time, I ran out of imagination. This is the final one, so comment as much as you want, but don't expect another version. It has been demolished for the lime-green.
But please do comment!

At last! I have had this on order for ages - well 6 weeks anyway.
So now I'll be able to ride my road bike again. I have taken my road bike out once since getting the Brooks Team Pro for my tourer. The gel saddle on it just doesn't work for me anymore since experiencing a Brooks.
I bought it from Bicycle Doctor in Manchester who gave excellent service - they had a great selection of Brooks saddles in stock - it was only by feeling the difference between a saddle with titanium rails vs one with steel rails that convinced me to go with the titanium.

My Kevin somewhere on Champs-Elysées about 10 years ago with his "Champagne Américain" AKA Diet Coke- One of his all time favorite songs is Titanium by David Guetta. He tells me he really likes the lyrics (below).
You shout it out,
But I can't hear a word you say
I'm talking loud, not saying much
I'm criticized but all your bullets ricochet
Shoot me down, but I get up
I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
Fire away, fire away
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
Cut me down
But it's you who'll have further to fall
Ghost town and haunted love
Raise your voice, sticks and stones may break my bones
I'm talking loud not saying much
I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
Fire away, fire away
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
Stone-heart, machine gun
Firing at the ones who run
Stone heart loves bulletproof glass
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
Several months after TPLO the titanium implants have been removed off Kuata's knees. Each implant is approx. 62 mm long, the long screws approx. 50 mm (her weight is 39 kg so she's quite a large dog)
