Last weekend I put up the tree, covered it with lights and we decorated the fireplace mantle. This weekend we finished off the ornaments and watched some Christmas movies I had never seen. I think I needed a day like today more than I realized.

My Dad was a soft spoken, gentle and caring man, proving time and time again that actions speak louder than words. He was admired by all who knew him and a hero to many.
My Dad chose to see the beauty in everything. I am very blessed that he also chose me (adopted) to be his only child.
He was, and always will be, my greatest hero.
