Lunch time as Eunice begins to show an impact here. We were promised blizzard and whiteout conditions ... though not severe wind speeds, like Storm Arwen. Looks like it could be so .... no power cuts so far! We are prepared ... but hopeful.

Winter through the lens Here
Remembering the snowfalls of the past and the boys playing hockey on the frozen canal. This winter we haven't had a significant amount of snow. I don't really miss snow even though it gives us beautiful landscapes. Southeastern Pennsylvania has no snow forecast, just rain and acceptable temperatures. But winter is in its early stages yet...
Thank you very much for your kind comments and visit, much appreciated!
My yearly autumn shot in Utrecht, taken after i came back from my Dolomite's trip, not wanting to take anymore pictures, because I was fed up, upon seeing this :).
BTW: three years ago I posted this picture, www.flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/45938447511/in/album-..., where I am standing on that white bridge. The large yellow tree in the middle here, is there the tree that stands on the left bank, right next to the willow.

One of those mornings, when a heavy overnight dew was lit up by the early morning sun. The garden was drenched ... there was just so much dazzling light! This was a big planter full of dianthus, that we call 'Pinks'. From last summer, as sadly the garden centres have not been open for adding bedding plants to the garden this year ... yet!

Do I detect a smile on its face? A smiley bee, whatever next?
I think the picture is at its best when viewed from a distance.
So, lean back and zoom right in while in lightbox and on full screen, of course!
★ Food for thought :
The bee is fast becoming an endangered species in many parts of the world. In France, the newly arrived Asian hornet is just another nail in the coffin. Without the bee, we too could well become an endangered species! :-(( - Love thy neighbour and thy bee however small and insignificant it may appear to be.
"If the Bee Disappeared Off the Face of the Earth, Man Would Only Have Four Years Left To Live" - Albert Einstein
God slay the Asian queens and save our noble bees!
(ironically, to the tune of "God Save the Queen")
Tools of the trade! (new tab) Shh!!! Mum's the word!
Take great care, my friends, and many, many thanks for calling,

Clouds hugged the morning sun into grayness....The radiance of an early morning sun at Wells Beach, Maine gave way to gray skies. How transitory life on the beach can be and yet how beautifully surprising.
