Caused by my severe accident, I did not find the opportunity to work with the Linhof Techno technical camera which I bought a short time before. This body works with digital backs (e.g. Hasselblad, Phase One and the newer mirrorless bodies too). Now the time has come to take first photos with it. I made the mistake not to take calibration shots on location for colour cast which is a serios theme here. Anyhow, I took similar shots afterwards with view to a cloudy sky which did work relatively well for corrections.

For this scenery I merged two shots taken with the 40mm lens (which is corresponding to 25,4 m for 24x36) with ca. 10 mm shift. Development was made in Phocus and merging was done in Photoshop.

haha...couldn't resist

I woke this morning to the world covered with hoarfrost, so after breakfast we all trekked out into the cold to take photos. It was snowing the whole time, and the snowflakes merged with the hoarfrost. This shot is one of the favorites of the day.

The Spring colour is increasingly provided by fields of rape seed - huge angular blocks of bright yellow. They make for striking patterns in the rural landscape. Here backed by threatening rain clouds ... and we need the rain!

Winter Darkness and Light. On black.

Dedicated to Cleide on her Birthday!

Despite the scorching heat, in these days

you're the only thing I've been looking forward to...

This was taken last weekend. The style is quite different from the previous ones. I like the bokeh that is like a paint-brushed touch, also the strong light. Because it interprets my recent longing for this coming summer :)

Love the lyrics and melody of this song, 好想要揮霍 (which means "so wanna get extravagant"). The music's composed by the singer in the clip; and the lyrics is written by an excellent femaleTaiwanese singer/song-writer. The song is talking more in an emotional way, not in a materialistic way as the name might mislead you. One day I might try to translate it into English... :p

This is a further panorama view from a vernal evening at Murnauer Moos. Here we have Estergebirge in the middle of the picture with Wank right behind the hut. Farer away Wetterstein is rather covered by clouds and at the right border we can see Ettaler Manndl.

I used the 50 mm lens to get a bit closer to the scene and merged 3 hand held shots in photoshop.

About the only signs of autumn that you see in Florida. The delicate showy pinkish plumes when backlit stand out in the florida garden.

This time the hike back to Mirror Lake was worth it....later in the year it will be completely dried up.

we can but follow to the sun -

as oft as he go down

he leave ourselves a sphere behind -

'tis mostly - following -

we go no further with the dust

than to the earthen door -

and then the panels are reversed -

and we behold -- no more

I had the privilege of being born and growing up in Florida. The first half of my childhood was spent in Perry. Perry is located 50 miles south of Tallahassee. It was like Mayberry RFD. No one could have asked for a nicer place to live in and I will always cherish my friends and all of the fond memories I made there. But, as fate would have it, my father's job decided we needed to make a move. This was to Panama City Beach. Here, I finished growing up. Talk about living the dream! Sand on my feet and swimming in the Gulf of America was my way of life everyday, My mother loved the beach as much as we did. She grew up on Pensacola Beach. Now, I live in a town just 50 miles north of Panama City Beach. I still visit Perry often and I'm just a short drive from PCB. My life has been good for the most part, but, like you, I have had my fair share of bumps too. I hope you like this picture of the beach that my mother spent much of her time on as a girl. (Sadly, she passed away 2 years ago.) As you can see, it was taken with my Apple 4 phone, so it's an older photo. But, older doesn't necessarily mean inferior, does it? I mean, I'm getting older, but, I like to think I'm better than ever, even with the aches and pains! :-)

Hailstones 5 minutes after this shot.

This is a COLOR photograph. Snow, hoarfrost and white skies...

Thanks goes to Skeletal Mess for use of his wonderful texture!

On my way home tonight, I just had to stop - sooc. But I do have to give in and admit that autumn has definitely arrived in these parts! ah well - think of all those wonderful reds and golds :)

I discovered this beautiful, somewhat secluded area of a nature preserve while taking a walk a couple of days ago. The magic of the location struck me instantly, and I came back the next morning at sunrise with my camera gear to get some shots. My running shoes got a bit soggy by venturing into the mud, but it was worth it to get closer to the water to get a good framing.
