Every year I make a bunch of itty-bitty watercolor paintings for the Stumptown Comics Fest. Here's this year's batch!
Smaller Forget-me-not (Myosotis laxa) - Best Lake Watchung, New Jersey
This is the native American version of the Forget-me-not (Myosotis laxa) with flowers about 4mm ( between ⅛ & ¼ inch) in size. They also uncurl as they bloom like Scopion Grass, where as the European ("True") Forget-me-nots are about ½ inch in size (12 mm), and bloom in a branched head.
I told the boys we'd build a treehouse together. I think this fulfills my obligation, but I'll still help them build a big one someday.
When I saw this barn, I was immediately reminded of Tiny Tim (of Tiptoe thru the Tulips fame) with his long stringy hair flowing in front of his face.
This barn is located just feet from the levee along the Mississippi River and can only imagine how many times its been flooded out over the years before the levee.
Wow, I found this when I was out walking yesterday. I don't know what sort of critter makes a perfect little pot for a home, but there was something moving around in there. It's a classic, don't you think? Anyone know whose nest this might be?
A reader made a doll of Schuyler and her device, and then sent it to her. Bonus? She added a tiny little copy of the book!
My eldest granddaughter was awe struck at seeing the tiny toes of her new little cousin. She had to take her socks off and examine her toes ....
I think she was secretly looking to see she had nailpolish on them :-)
Processed in Lightroom 3, used MCP Black and White fusion actions to convert it to Black and White in Photoshop CS4 and then added Kim Klassen's grunge layer over top.
I really wish I knew what I was doing in photoshop :-) That will be my next course at the college I think.
Next attempt to show this color :)

Vintage embroidery transfer, source unknown. This little guy was found loose in the bottom of a box of yard sale sewing notions. Printed in red transfer ink on yellowed paper like an old Workbasket transfer. Can anyone identify this?
I know they say that guys that drive these big trucks are usually overcompensating for having certain, ummm... physical inadequacies, but I don't think I would advertise it by getting this vanity plate.
