Tiny yellow mushroom rising from the moss along the trail at Great Falls National Park, VA, USA.
Google Lens IDs this as the Amanita genus, commonly known as a Yellow Patches mushroom (Amanita flavoconia). It features a bright yellow-orange cap, often with small, powdery yellow remnants of the universal veil. The stem is typically pale yellow to white and has a skirt-like ring (partial veil). These mushrooms are commonly found growing in mossy or wooded areas.
Caution: Many Amanita species are highly toxic; it is important never to eat wild mushrooms without expert identification.

I am in a BAD mood.
Bus schedule:
middle son and daughter catch the bus at 6:22am, 1.5 miles from our house.
little boy catches the bus at 7:58am, 1.5 miles from the house.
There is no return bus for little boy, so I will be picking him up at 11:30 at school
Daughter's drop off, again 1.5 miles from the house, is at 3:39
There's apparently no return bus for my middle boy, although I am trying to confirm this with transportation.
This is going to mean driving 28 miles to and from, twice a day.
That's the case for online schooling right there. I am so torn because I want them to be able to make friends & not feel stuck at home. But that's like 560 miles a week, not even counting the back and forth to the bus stop. :(
Here I tried to compare with my finger to have a clearer idea about its size.

lots of tiny twinkly lights inside the party tent at Pier 23, and a whole bunch of mardi gras beads hanging from the center to make the place more festive (for a hurricane relief fundraiser)
I just love twinkly lights...
Tiny orange mushrooms sprouting up through the moss along the trail at Great Falls National Park, VA, USA.
Google Lens IDs these as Cinnabar-red Chanterelle (Cantharellus cinnabarinus), a small, edible mushroom known for its vibrant red-orange color. The bright red color comes from the carotenoid canthaxanthin. They have a distinctive chalice or vase shape when mature. They typically thrive in rich soil within mixed hardwood forests. They are known for a pleasant, apricot-like fragrance and are lauded for their texture when sauteed.
Disclaimer: Foraging for wild mushrooms carries significant risks. Many toxic species resemble edible ones. Never eat a wild mushroom unless it has been identified positively by an expert mycologist.
A tiny drumset I built out of a kid's 16" bass drum I found on Craigslist, a 10" kid's snare turned into a tom, a 13" rack tom turned into a floor tom, and a 12" cheapo snare drum on a hacked down ludwig snare stand. Total invested, $36 including used Evans G1 coated heads for $2 each and a 16" Evans Hydraulic on the back kick side for free.
The shells were all originally wrapped and all the PVC wrapping was sunbaked and warped to hell. The bass was black, the snare/tom was blue, the floor tom was dark gray. I painted them all with the same Behr matte red I used to paint the studio. The paint actually looks pretty good, and even better once sanded and layered with 4 coats of acrylic clearcoat.
Oh, and my crazy room.
I kept some of the tadpoles to raise and now they are toads - tiny ¼" toads. Amazing, isn't it? Sept. 2015.

This tiny spider (about 1/4 inch max) was sitting near the center of its web. This was taken indoors at Meijer Gardens Greenhouse during the annual butterfly exhibit. This may be a native Michigan species or it may have come from anywhere around the world. If anyone can help with identifying it please let me know.
