The next lens that I was keen to try was the newer AF-S ED Nikkor 24-85mm f3.5-4.5G Aspherical. First thought on seeing the lens was that it was a bit slow, being f3.5-f4.5. However, on the positive it covers a very useful focal range. More importantly, it will focus down to 0.35m. Which is much closer than all the other Nikkor lenses in the set. The background Bokeh is pleasant, and the tiny macro level Bokeh is something else again. The only lens in the set that features Aspherical elements. I think that this one will be a keeper.
This tiny grasshopper was enjoying his view from the top of the grass while I was waiting to get some in-flight bird photos. It's nice to have a zoom lens that can close focus, otherwise I probably would not have gotten this shot. I had the Canon 100-400 version 2 on my Canon 7d ii, and it was able to close focus on this guy. Great lens if you're considering buying it.
Thanks for looking, and I really appreciate your kind comments.

Tiny Tweeters is made of printed, colorful plastic and will brighten your outlook any day of the week! The nest and tweeters measures 2.5" x 1.75" and swings from a strong, high quality 16" oxidized sterling silver chain. An enamel, glass and brass flower charm dangles from the chain to fetchingly accent your lovely collarbone.

Today, after speaking with a local wildlife centre and on advice from one of my Flickr contacts (Penny's Everything Nature), David and I decided to take in and care for our smallest hedgehog visitor Tiny Tim. Last night we weighed him and found him to be a mere 200g. The minimum required healthy weight at this time of year to ensure making it safely through hibernation is 500g. Clearly Tiny Tim is way too small to survive unaided. In this photo, taken tonight before we took him in, he is standing beside a healthy sized youngster, 700g, and the size difference is very obvious. If we decide that taking care of him is too much or if we have any problems the wildlife centre will take him for us until he is ready to be released back into the wild. Also we may well find that other small youngsters from the same late litter may also appear, in which case we would definitely ask for help from the rescue centre.
So wish us luck in our endeavour to raise this sweet little character to a healthy weight and I'll keep you all posted as to his progress : )
A tiny bottle at Tilbury's 'Clinker Beach'. About 2" tall, I've no idea what it would have held: possibly some pseudo-medicinal tincture for the relief of some imagined condition brought on by the terrible pressures of excessive wealth.
I had (still have, somewhere) a Raynox macro attachment which was a lot of fun to use and pretty good on the end of a zoom lens. If I was photographing glass, like this, I'd put the subject on a stone base (the rougher the better) and spray it and the base with water, which is where all the little highlights came from.

I maked this! I made all the furniture myself, mostly from scratch. The room box was made by WearingDreams on etsy. I took off some of her trim, added more and painted it. It's 1:6th size for my clever little dolls

When out of the street, there arose such a clatter.
I sprang from my place to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Camera in hand, I threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow,
Gave a reading of f16@1/60 for objects below.
When what in my viewfinder should appear,
But a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer.
The little old driver was so lively and quick.
I knew right away, here come St. Nick!

I like this B&W version only slightly more than the colour, so I'll post the colour one tomorrow.
It is only a tiny rosebud
A flower of God's design;
But I cannot unfold the petal
With these clumsy hands of mine.
The secret of unfolding flowers
Is not known to such as I.
GOD opens this flower so sweetly,
Then in my hands they die.
If I cannot unfold a rosebud,
This flower of God's design,
Then how can I have the wisdom
To unfold this life of mine?
So I'll trust in Him for leading
Each moment of my day.
I will look to Him for His guidance
Each step of the pilgrim way.
The pathway that lies before me
Only my Heavenly Father knows.
I'll trust Him to unfold the moments,
Just as He unfolds the rose.
