While clearing out a place in the garage I found a bucket of bird seed I had bought years ago. I took what was left and just sprinkled it out in the driveway and watched the birds have at it. Late this summer a tiny sunflower started to bloom in a crack in the driveway. I told my husband to be careful not to run it over, and anyone who came, warned them to be aware of the sunflower. It eventually bloomed and it made me happy. I could not believe a seed that had been in my garage for so long still sprouted a lovely little flower.
Ho sempre amato la macro fotografia: il dettaglio, l'infinitesimale che diventa protagonista, la simmetria naturale elevata ad arte astratta...forse perché da piccola mi piaceva giocare col microscopio, forse perché le cose da vicino sono diverse.
Photoshoot on the beach today for fashion/portraiture.
These are just a few of the pictures I took...GRRRR at the upload limit!
These tiny bird houses are from the Dollar Tree store. I painted one so far as a gift to a friend who lives in a pink house. Wiki shows the scale - below.
This tiny feller is no bigger than your little finger nail, THE GREEN SHIELD BUG (Thank's Rob)

taken with a raynox150 macro lens.
This is the other kit I bought, a tiny collection of stamps. Not at all hard to make, some cutting & a bunch of patience :-) It's 1:12, but also works as a 1:6 book.
This little froglet had recently emerged from it's tadpole state, now it looked just like a beautiful adult frog, but in miniature!
Nature is so cute sometimes, I just love frogs and newts and have them in a wildlife pond in the garden!

I built this in Lego Digital Designer, then imported it into Stud.io, then uploaded the parts list to bricklink. Whew.
The front of this lovely model and the APC was designed by Tyler
I spent a lot of time trying to find a way to make the upper weapon pods actually work but it was fail, fail, fail :( On the other hand, the APC does fit in the dropship with a bit of fiddling and gun removal :)
You can view the model in 3d!
When out of the street, there arose such a clatter.
I sprang from my place to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Camera in hand, I threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow,
Gave a reading of f16@1/60 for objects below.
When what in my viewfinder should appear,
But a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer.
The little old driver was so lively and quick.
I knew right away, here come St. Nick!

This little beauty was tiny, but feisty!! At 13 days old, she was a mere 5 lbs and wanted nothing to do with sleeping! Luckily, she gave in for about 30 min, and I snapped away! Challenging, but fun!
A close up shot of some tiny plants that come up in our yard in Madison, Alabama. Taken with a +3 close up lens adapter.
This is the Sulphur Bee fly (Poecilognathus sulphureus). This is a tiny fly that resembles a bee, but only has one set of wings. It's only about 4mm (5/32") in size. It's color and transparent wings are what attracts me to photograph it so often.
