Our Daily Challenge - TIMING IS EVERYTHING is the topic for Wed Dec 16, 2015

Got to the rv park in time to set up and still be able to pick some oranges for a night cap! The RV park we spent the night at is in the middle of an orange grove and they let you pick some oranges for free.

I was close to the last few seams when I spotted that the there was not much thread left on the spool. This is what was left when I finished the final seam.

For 117 pictures 2017: 20 - Timing is everything.

A rarity for me, a photo straight from the camera, no tweaking whatsoever.

Steer Wrestling or Bull Dogging is the quickest rodeo event that requires speed, strength, balance, timing, and precision, which makes it the most challenging event. The cowboy competes not only against the other cowboys, but against the clock to try and post the fastest time.

The cowboy leaves the box after giving the steer a predetermined head start, the cowboy and his horse catch up to the steer and running along side the steer, the cowboy will slide off his horse and grasp the steer by the horns dig his heels in and slow the steer. The cowboy will wrestle the steer to the ground and once all four of the steer’s feet are pointing in the same direction the clock stops. If the cowboy breaks the barrier that allows the steer the predetermined head start, ten seconds will be added to the final time.

A hazer is a second mounted cowboy who rides along the right side of the steer. The hazer’s job is to keep the steer running straight and prevent the steer from veering away from the bull dogger.

I would like to thank the Thomas and Mack, the PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association), the Cowboys and Cowgirls, the stock contractors, and the fans for their support of rodeo.

Happened to go down to St Kilda on a whim and found a rainbow falling upon the lighthouse at St Kilda marina.

I was going for a shot of the house and this little girl pops out with a giggle as soon as I hit the button!

The Runworx Pecision Timing Slane Castle Run 2012 was held on Sunday 19th August 2012 at 11:30. This is the second running of this event. The event had both a 5km and a 10 mile road race. The races started and finished in the wonderful grounds of Slane Castle. This gave runners a wonderful start and finish area - with the runners visible from a distance out for the assembled spectators to welcome them in. The event was held in conjunction with the Slane Castle Lady Well Fete.

Timing is everything, I spotted this female snapping turtle digging a hole to lay her eggs in right next to a bike path. Atleast four eggs were deposited into this nest.

I was looking back at some old photos. This was shot 3 years ago today. I didn’t post this photo then because of timing. If this picture had been taken a very small fraction of a second later I probably would have used it.

It would have looked something like this.
