La foto es bastante mala, porque no paraban de moverme y tuve que usar bastante zoom, pero me pareció bonita por el color y la luz :)
Día de la Música, 21 de Junio, 09.
I was headed for Sedona and noticed this old VW Bug coming around pretty quick. I was at 65 so was surprised to see him moving so fast and naturally fumbled the camera and then it promptly shut itself off rather than give me a chance at another shot.
I've seen so many pictures of this lake, and most of them I felt didn't do it justice. I hope this one does. Two key differences from most pictures I've seen of Kinney Lake: everyone seems to shoot it in the morning, which I figured would be the best time as well, but the light's a bit strong after sunrise. This was taken in the late afternoon, when the light was quite lovely. The other issue is that the mountains around the lake are so big that the standard approach is to use the widest lens possible. But I found a telephoto approach brought home how big these mountains are.

The Lidl Run Kildare Events 2013 were held at the Curragh Racecourse, Newbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland on Sunday 12th May 2013. There were three events: a 10KM, a half marathon, and a full marathon. This is a selection of photographs which includes all events. The photographs are taken from the start and finish of the marathon, the finish of the 10KM, and the finish of the half marathon. Due to the large numbers participating we did not manage to photograph everyone - which was not helped by the weather. Congratulations to Jo Cawley and her RunKildare crew for another great event. The weather didn't dampen the spirits of the many happy participants.
Electronic timing was provided by Red Tag Timing [www.redtagtiming.com/]
Overall Race Summary
Participants: There were approximately 3,000 participants over the 3 race events - there were runners, joggers, and walkers participating.
Weather: A cold breezy morning with heavy rain at the start. The weather dried up for the 10KM and the Half Marathon races
Course: This is an undulating course with some good flat stretches on the Curragh.

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.
Don't like your photograph here?
That's OK! We understand!
If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.

The timing chain from a Honda sportsbike engine.
Notice how each link of the chain is composed of 4 or 5 piled-up segments... Thus, at every pin, 9 such segments bear the load. This allows the use of smaller pins and makes for a lighter, more compact chain that can carry a lot of tension. This chain is used inside the engine to ensure that the movements of the different components are perfectly synchronized.

Today's manmade/architectural shot comes from Mulberry St in Montgomery, Al. After wandering around Old Cloverdale and doing several shots in different locations, I finally had Tim pull over as we were leaving and I snapped a few with my new star filter. I really wanted to get something with the star filter, but everywhere else I shot just didn't have enough light sources to really produce any effect. After setting up across the street from this bakery, I realized that if I was going to get a starburst I was going to have to wait for passing cars. I got really lucky with this shot because the car in front was turning at the corner I was set up at and was fortunately one of those people that loves to turn as slowly as possible :) (This is one of the first times I've appreciated someone doing this ;) I also find it lucky that the car stuck behind them was a nice lexus with fog lights on. Just a classic image and after a crop of the top left and a run through a fuji velvia filter in lr2, this is what I got. (I did use my tripod so that I could easily maintain the composition while waiting for cars). 1/125@f/2.5 ISO200 FL:50mm

Let's get a bit technical: We use Creative Commons Licensing for these photographs
We use the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License for all our photographs here in this photograph set. What does this mean in reality?
The explaination is very simple.
Attribution- anyone using our photographs gives us an appropriate credit for it. This ensures that people aren't taking our photographs and passing them off as their own. This usually just mean putting a link to our photographs somewhere on your website, blog, or Facebook where other people can see it.
ShareAlike – anyone can use these photographs, and make changes if they like, or incorporate them into a bigger project, but they must make those changes available back to the community under the same terms.
Above all what Creative Commons aims to do is to encourage creative sharing. See some examples of Creative Commons photographs on Flickr: www.flickr.com/creativecommons/

Perfect timing with my arbitrary definitions of seasons, we got 2 feet of snow on December 1st. I will also include the aftermath in this album, cleaning up on December 2nd, and roof raking later in the week. Strangely, we have not had anything near this bad again as of February 16th. We had a few storms of a few inches, which is fine with me - the perfect amount for skiing. Lately though it's been only ice storms - a bit of snow, then a lot of sleet and freezing rain, then rain which waterlogs it, then back to snow and it all freezes. It has been horrible to clean that up, sometimes several times a week, so at this point I hope the groundhog is right.
Side note - Part of my New Year's Resolution was to catch up on Flickr. I am doing that, but it takes a long time. I have set an unrealistic goal to finish the winter album by March 1st. I haven't started it yet.
