Beavermarsh Road - Snow Geese by the thousands arrive from the Arctic in early October. Typically 70,000 to 90,000 winter in North Puget Sound.
Fraser-Skagit Population Dynamic. "Snow geese that over-winter in northwest Washington comprise a unique population of intercontinental travelers shared by three countries: the United States, Canada and Russia. These snow geese make an arduous, annual flight to Russia’s Chuckchi Sea, to breed on Wrangel Island off the north coast of Siberia. They are called the Fraser-Skagit population, because the same identification collaring/banding studies that disclosed details of their migration timing and itinerary, found that snow geese of this group had a high fidelity to one nesting site on Wrangel Island and to one wintering area, here. Once open, the App defaults to the Race screen showing driver stats, live race map with driver positions. This screen shows a 'starred' favourite driver, which you choose by selecting a driver from the Leaderboard list. This then concentrates on your chosen driver and then shows race data in relation to your choice.

While I'm usually a fan of HC-110, in this case, I think the timing is off just a smidge, maybe 15-30 seconds. But you still get the deep chrome feel of Retro 80s that we all know and enjoy.

Upper falls of Letchworth State Park in Portageville, NY. To say that I got lucky with the train is an understatement; to top it all off the sun decided to come out as it was crossing.
Beautiful place, barely touched the photo, it really was that green.
my son was playing for his high school honors jazz band and they were taking a break so I was walking around the local jr. college- some interesting finds

A scrum of adventure in the Denver surrounded me on opening night of Motown: The Musical.
Impeccable timing made for a flowing chain of fun events. I departed the Colorado light rail station and rode the mass transit fantastic down to the Convention Center. From there, pre show vittles were a necessity. There was an approximate 10.23 minute walk to Yard House on the 16th Street Mall.
Happy hour jubilee awaited with great appetizer and drink specials. Moo Shu Egg Rolls and vampire taco® deliciousness ensued.
Once the belly was full it was off to The Buell Theatre, where the line seemed overwhelming. Checking with the Will Call box office, I was instructed where to go to pick up the tickets. And to achieve this I was to maneuver through the line, pushing my way stealthily to the front to retrieve my ticket. I did this swiftly, much to the dismay of people in the line. Wow. Simple. Amazing. My journey through the line was quick and painless. This truly was a Yelp Elite event and I had zero problems with gaining access. I saw a few familiar faces as I waded through the lines of humanity.
The show was great. I have seen many musicals at DCPA. This ranks up there as one of the best. The production was fantastic and it was obvious the cast and crew has this show down to a science. From the acting to the dancing to the scene changes to the lighting to the music ... all was superb. The audience seemed to enjoy it, as there was singing along, vocal grunts of joy, clapping, whoops and hollers throughout the performance.
Overall the experience was super. The vocals were sometimes drowned out by the music but if anyone had even a small knowledge of the music that didn't matter one bit. Motown: The Musical was a delight and I am sure the production will do well here in Denver.

most of the time, the train has just left or hasnt come when i just arrived the platform leaving me time to do some shooting.
timing-wise, actually, it is just perfect.
i like to wait for the next train.
not in a hurry.

I have been trying to capture a train coming under this overpass for over a decade. I timed it right at 12:21 pm on 08-30-2011 and finally got my train. I had seen the DPU in Durant, OK while checking out photo possibilities, when I remembered this one lane county road bridge just north of Calera, OK. I had one minute to set up before the coal loads arrived. Too bad I was wearing shorts!!!!!!!!!
The Wexford Half Marathon and 10KM Road Race and Fun Run was held in Wexford Town, Co. Wexford, Ireland at 10:30 and 10:40 on Sunday 21st April 2013. There was a huge attendance at this race. The weather didn't start off as the runners would have wished with very heavy April showers making for a wet start. However, these showers cleared and a bright sunny day greeted runners in both races for the finish.
We did not take part in this race but feedback from runners was very positive about the race overall.
This is a selection of photographs which includes: the start of both races, the finish of the 10KM and finishers of the half marathon until about 1:50 finishing time.
Timing was provided by Red Tag Timing.
Overall Race Summary
Participants: Approximately 1,000 people over both races (700 in the half marathon and over 300 in the 10KM)
Weather: Started off wet but both races finished with dry sunny weather.
Course: A very well marshalled course around the town of Wexford and surrounding areas.
Refreshments: There was water, bananas and soup & rolls at the finish.
Timing: Both races 10KM and Half Marathon were electronically timed using chip timing provided by RedtagTiming (www.redtagtiming.com/).

As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase.
