Amazing what I have in my attic

It could never last! The SWT timetable for the Lymington branch covering the first half of 2010 showing the green CIG

The pocket timetable, covering tables 127 and 128 from the National Timetable, issued for the period 3 October 1977 for the winter High Speed InterCity125 services from London Paddington, Slough and Reading to Newport, Cardiff, south and west Wales. The bold graphics are dominated by the now iconic nose cone of the HST sets designed by the late Kenneth Grange.

This timetable was the second issued with the full complement of 27 Class 253 sets for the Western Region in use that came into use earlier in 1977. The services helped make the Inter-City sector a notable success for British Rail's mainline train services.

Effective February 1, 1980. The airline ceased operations on May 12, 1982, a victim of escalating fuel prices, aggressive expansion, and fierce competition.

A traditional-looking Paoli local service from May 25, 1975.

I finally have a Lehigh timetable with the Elmira, Cortland & Northern branch schedules listed. Unfortunately, by 1928 a number of stations weren't listed, though I don't think that they were closed. Looks like all branches are listed in here. If anyone wants a photo of a certain branch, just let me know and I will post.

Effective December 1983

My little stay in gartnavel hospital and I noticed this on my ward notice board... little dated me thinks!

Apologies for the terrible pun. :P

The full records of our scheduled and actual journey.

early series map diagram. implies there is a tunnel from portsmouth to ryde!

With the delivery of the Aer Lingus "retro" liveried A320 complete and its entry into service eagerly anticipated there is a lot of focus on the airline at the moment, given that 2011 is the 75th anniversary of the airline.

I thought a scan of the fares chart from the 1973 summer timetable may be of interest?

Scanned from the summer 1973 timetable

You may have noticed that the timetables have barcodes on the front. Some, but not all pamphlets have barcodes on the back.

The timetables are usually straightforward. It's a 4 digit barcode with the first route number listed left padded with zeros. Even if the timetable has 6 routes, it'll still only list the first one (there's one that has 177, 577, and a whole bunch more). There are some exceptions.

The pamphlets are three character barcodes. Out of all the pamphlets available at Westlake Station, these were the only ones with barcodes on the rear (or front).

I like this old Aeroperu logo.. looks authentic!

Timetable 11.11.1959 - The day Stage four of London Transport's Trolleybus Replacement Scheme was implemented. The 193 which had been introduced at Stage three on 15 August 1959, was now extended from its former trolleybus terminus at Barking Broadway to Thames View Estate.

Unusually, a short lived Monday - Friday 193 had been introduced in 1957, not far away in Dagenham. It was replaced by an extension of the 25 in 1958, which I think survived until 1982.

Here's a rarity for ya.. an old BAF timetable.. Just about as regional as it gets.. Dart Hearld's and Viscount's to the mainland..

The backside of the new signs looks great, too, but still no replacement for a good ol' map.

POSTSCRIPT - Most of the villages served by Peelings Coaches services 4 & 4B will still receive a bus service on at least one day each week. However, with their withdrawal, Wellingham is one of the few places that have now become busless. Unfortunately I didn’t manage to get a shot of Peelings Coaches service 4B at Wellingham so here we have a view of the NCC timetable case attached to a fingerpost situated in the village at the junction of The Street and Church Road. After scratching away some of the mildew, we can see that it is dated to commence from July 27th 2006 and that the timings are incorrect, although an intending passenger would not have missed the inward journey.

This London Underground timetable for the Northern Line is the hardback version only issued to supervisory staff. It was an item one could not do without during disruption to the service since it was a great aid to reorganising the service.
