Popular trees in a barley field shot with a tilt and shift lens along the east lancs rd btw Liverpool and Manchester or is it a Tuscan scene lol.
After buying this second hand 1st version of the 24mm tilt shift I started seeing reviews about how bad and soft it was. Must admit ive been kicking myself in the shins since, but what, this is the first time ive used it properly and i'm blown away, it is sharp and its given me the shots i was looking for without any hassle.

Week 3 theme: Sleep
02.04.2013
This is Drama. He is the polar opposite of our other dog, Jedi. Drama spends 89% of his time doing what you see pictured here: Sleeping. The other 11% he spends foraging for acorns, chasing squirrels, and looking for a place to sleep. I was lucky enough to catch this photo during the 89% portion of his day. Did I mention he drools in his sleep? Typical.

A picture I have already got on my photostream to which I have applied a tilt and shift effect through a tilt and shift application on the iphone. The original picture was taken back in 1982 in Washington DC using a canon av-1.
Week 8 theme: Underneath
03.17.2013
I have pet peeves. I believe that everybody does. If anybody makes a claim to the contrary I would consider them to be a dishonest being of ill repute and little redeeming social value. Those are the exact sentiments I have for the people who violate my peeves, and they do get violated on a daily basis. In this case the offending act happens to be improper parking lot conduct. There are yellow arrows. The arrows serve a purpose. The purpose is the control the flow of traffic. The order falls apart and the parking lot quickly descends a steep slope into hell when people roll down their windows, throw the rule book away, and embark on a self-guided tour through the maze of cars and concrete. Several times a week I find myself looking for a spot to rest my car's weary rubber when out of nowhere a strange car rounds a corner that they shouldn't be rounding and stops short right before my bumper. I am usually met with some kind of harsh glare. The glare generally implies to me that I have just meddled with some affairs that I defiantly should not have meddled with. A standoff ensues. I am stubborn. I always win. If anybody calls my bluff I get out of my car. If that doesn't work I reach for the fillet knives on my back seat. I haven't met a soul that can outplay that hand. One day I will meet a worthy opponent. I hope not.

I discovered a new location last weekend that I'm sure will become a favourite place to visit it is so lovely. I visited the place over what proved to be two quite frustrating days though. The first time I went I quickly realised that wellies were required if the best composition was to be achieved. Day two I came back in the middle of rain storm. Try as I might I just couldn't keep the equipment dry. These two shots don't do justice to place because of the rain - but I will be back!
Very pleased with my Tilt and Shift lens though - boy is it sharp when you know what to do with it - more practise needed though.
