A view from the Liver building looking towards the Royal Albert Dock

Explored July 15 - #208 when first seen. Thanks for your comments, everyone. xo

The Zeelandbrug in the Netherlands. Seems like a way to infinity.

Wozu Modellbau, wenn man alles im Original haben kann ...

The tiny little real mini city - Dillenburg / germany

Why model building when you can have everything in the original ...

Taken from the north side of the river, I wanted to capture the dramatic looking clouds that were being blown by a reasonably strong wind that day. I also liked the light on the tall buildings on the left. You can just make out a group of people on the bridge who had stopped long enough for some definition to build during the long exposure. This gives an added sense of perspective to the shot I feel.

At the end of the Millenium bridge, just as the path takes you back down to the river, you can look back towards St Pauls and get an interesting split view. Part cathedral, part Millenium bridge support. I used my tilt and shift lens to minimise distortions and a four minute exposure time with both a 10 stop and grad filter to basically time erase the people out of the shot. It was full of mid-day tourists at the time. The green glass structres at the side give the image a strange colour quality but this hopefully adds to the shot.

Power of Tilt& Shift , adapter borrowed ( I know I know) , everything in focus though planes are not parallel.

My first attempt at a tilt and shift effect, using a group of boats moored in Port Erin harbour, Isle of Man.

It was just another day for this fisherman.

But for me, it was another opportunity to use tilt and shift.

It was another moment of magic!

The clouds reflection on the River Mersey caused me to stop my flight coming back from Tranmere Oil Terminal to Kings Dock on Liverpool's waterfront, I'm loving the fact that this huge land mass is compressed into a wedge.

Inside the Elliott building in Buffalo NY.

100 seconds of calmness from a different point of view.

The 'usual' shot - wider angle.

I contemplated reproducing this as a 3D CGI image (its what I do for 'fun'...(yes, really!).... until I can't afford the electricity anymore). However, look at all those trees! My PC is crying just looking at it.

The Zeelandbrug is the longest bridge in the Netherlands. The weatherconditions were quite interesting that day: Sun and rain were alternating. On the other side of the bridge, there was heavy rain coming down.

The town of Boumalne Dades, in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. The majority of the buildings, in this town of ~11,000, had a distinctive pink hue which really gets accentuated in the light of dusk.

I accidentally tweaked the camera and activated the miniature effect. I was actually pleased with result.

This is the classic shot of St Pauls taken from across Millenium bridge. I used a two-minute exposure to neutralise the images of the pedestrians and to achieve a soft cloud structure. Again the tilt and shift lens was used to minimise any distortions.

My fingers almost fell off trying to take this. So cold. Never again will I play with a TOYO in Feb.

A pleasant wander up to Hadrian's Wall this evening and some nice early evening light painting the landscape.

Family heading home in the last of the daylight.

normally I would but on this occasion I simply could not......I had a prior engagement at Liberty's of London to say hello to Jennifer Saunders.

Another one from the archives, this wet, dull, windy UK weather is making me search for sunnier happy pictures, and nowhere better to search than Canada.... :)

Back in October 2012 I went over to Ontario for Thanksgiving :) We (cousin and I) went for a drive to Niagara Falls. It was so warm, it was like a summer's day, and was amazing when we travelled up the Skylon Tower :)

Thought I'd try a little tilt 'n' shift effect - I know it's not to everyone's taste, but I quite liked the outcome :)

Hope you all have great start to the week :) Our weather here is to improve midweek, so fingers crossed!!!!

Thanks for the views, comments and faves :)

I like the groynes down at Caister. Always make for interesting subjects.

Ive pushed to colours a tad in this. As it happend I doubled up ND filters which shifted the colours a little bit. And...well....I opted not to fully colour correct it, I think the pinks and the blues look quite nice.

Maybe not everyones cup of tea mind.
