Tidal Wave is a giant water ride located at Thorpe Park in Surrey, England, UK. It was opened in 2000 and was Tussauds' first major investment in the park.
When the ride was constructed in 2000 it was the tallest water ride in Europe and retained the title until 2002, when Hydro at Oakwood Theme Park was opened. From 2006 to 2009, the ride was sponsored by Original Source, and from 2010 by Dr. Pepper.
Another great visit to one of the best theme parks in the UK.

The peak of the wave has been reached now it falls down just as quick onto the riders on the boat. To give some scale of the wave, you can make out the boat on the track just by the pylon

This is what happens when I decide to reconfigure my shelves. In this case, I'm consolodating from 3 bookcases to 2, and had to take everything off them to unbolt the third bookcase.
The abbey is on a tidal island, surrounded by miles of sand flats at low tide, but claimed by the sea at high tide. I'm told the visitor parking lot used to be located here, just outside the main gates, and of course, parking hours were strictly enforced.
