A developing supercell to the northwest of Florence, Italy, as seen from the Piazzale Michelangelo, back in mid August. I was 42°C when this picture was taken (which helps explain the energy for the thunderstorm).
This cloud is part of a thunderstorm brewing up in Baltimore. This picture was taken from Fort Smallwood in Pasadena, Maryland.
We had quite a busy time on the flightdeck circumnavigating some huge thunderstom cells on our flight back to Switzerland
The cloud in the foreground was dwarfed by the thundercloud that was coming in behind it. This was at sunset, which gave it quite the yellowish hue.
Denver is 'blessed' with amazing thunderstorm clouds :)

When I consulted my weather app it showed I had about 15 minutes left to pack my gear, get on the bike and race back to my car. And that's exactly what I did, since I wasn't eager to get soaking wet, after all, a bit south floodings over 30 cm had already been reported. The downside of this rapid action was that I didn't have the chance to capture the moment the sun was briefly appearing in full red between the clouds...which I didn't expect at all, but in these conditions cloud patterns can change rapidly. Anyway there is always a good reason to go back for another shoot and I did arrive with dry clothes at my car ;-)
Thunderstorms developed along a Lake Breeze coming off Lake Michigan on Friday August 14 2015. Eastern WI took a beating from some of the storms, leaving a lot of damage and several thousands of people without power. Some nice structure with these.

The hot weather often sparked off thunderstorms. This was the only one we had while we were still out. The umbrellas brightened up the scene.

This past Saturday 14 May 2022 was a day of passing thunderstorms Near my home in Southeastern Ohio. as sunset approached the low sun gave a warm tone to the magnificent mountains of clouds slowly drifting across the sky
18 july, 2015 was a date where Alsace region (France) underwent lots of impressive thunderstorms.
To give you an idea, every 2 seconds a lightning was shining in the sky, and everywhere during several ten minutes.
The conditions were suitable to let myself have a try, for the second time, in capturing lightning.
On this picture, there is no impact yet but only "inter-clouds lightning"

This was taken east of Rapid City, South Dakota. I liked how the sunset and the huge sky made the car look so insignificant.
