Actually, I wanted to photograph the foggy mood in the morning. An approaching thunderstorm changed the shooting conditions ... as is so often the case in landscape photography.

Thunderstorm.

Gewitter über Rügen

last night a heavy thunderstorm with lots of rain

Guten Morgen!

Diese wunderschöne Gewitterzelle zog am Dienstag um 17:30Uhr knapp an Göhren auf Rügen vorbei, ich bin mir nicht sicher aber Sellin dürfte sie erwischt haben.

With the dawn light behind me and an enormous thunderstorm in front the cloud contrast with the sunflowers was striking.

This picture was taken in 2018, that night the moon was supposed to be red or big or something extraordinary I can’t recall. So I took my car heading to the top of a hill nearby where you can see the whole city of Vienna. The sky was dark, no sign of moon whatsoever. Suddenly when I was on the top, together with a bunch of brave people, the sky started to flash offering fantastic lightings and not a drop of rain. I think most of the time a nice picture is a matter of good luck!

I haven’t seen the moon that night though.

...wenn sie nichts Schlimmeres als Regen, Wind und Graupelschauer bringen, der nächste Wetterschutz nur ein paar Schritte entfernt ist - dann gibt es fast nichts Schöneres, als diese Fronten auf sich zu kommen zu lassen.

Erneut erlebe ich Dankbarkeit und ein großes Glücksgefühl... so privilegiert zu sein, einfach mal ein Wochenende ans Meer fahren zu können.

Mit Frieden im Herzen kann man sich getrost gegen den Wind am Ufer stellen.

yesterday there was a big thunderstorm, the whole sky turned yellow, I didn't photoshopped the photo, it are the real colours. I know it's kinda bad quality, but I took this shot very quick, because I stood there in the rain while I didn't wear some shoes and I didn't want to become wet.

One of the last thunderstorm here around Kiel/Germany. This storm was not far away this day and the clouds amazing.

In the last weeks there were lots of thunderstorms here in the Saarland.

Lots of storms rumbling through lately and sometimes they pose for a photo before moving on. Have a great weekend my friends.

This time nothing helped and we became soaking wet.

I came to this spot to photograph the roots on the eroded riverbank. When the thunderstorm approached I stayed as long as I could before I finally decided it was time to head to the truck.

A thunderstorm is coming our way. Most of the light in the sky is from lightning.

Thunderstorm rolled through just as the sun was rising yesterday morning, lots of lightning and a short but torrential downpour.
