The first sequence is shot with a YI 4K action cam and the second with a Nikon d7100 in video mode. I waited all day for these storms to light up and they did just to my east.

A rather violent thunderstorm approaches Tsilivi Beach, on the Greek island of Zakynthos, while a couple of swimmers linger in the wind-flattened sea.
Added to the Cream of the Crop pool as "most interesting".

Already raining out to sea to the right of the photo! Managed to get back to our accommodation before the rain struck the island, then it rained for the rest of the afternoon into the following morning!
A recent thunderstorm rolled through my area, so I grabbed my camera and got a few shots. Not to shabby for not using a tri-pod (freehanding it)

This is a 30 second timelapse of a thunderstorm that rolled through just north of the Little Missouri River in the North Dakota Badlands. Wind, rain, hail, lightning, and tornadoes were the result of this incredible storm. The sun set amid clear blue skies creating some stunning effects as it passed by.

There was lightning as well, but I've yet to master the art of getting a lightning strike. It was a pretty wild spot to be - full moon rising, thunderstorms converging, howling winds and a good ocean swell. Nothing quite like an encounter with the elements for making you feel alive!
Another great thunderstorm came through tonight and I was able to snap a couple of shots out of all the regular misses :)

This is the first time that I have been in a thunderstorm while camping in a tent. I was out collecting geophysical data in rural western Idaho when this beauty rolled over. I was glad that I was able to capture it. I was a little bummed I didn't get off the compound and the vehicles are still in the shot, but I like the shot nonetheless.

Tonight a thunderstorm was over the salt lake in San Luis and created a very dramatic light. It got to dangerous to stay on the lake as the lightning started. But I have some very nice photos. Nice to meet Pedro Teurel and Jeronimo Contreras to share this magic evening.
