Three Rivers is New France's snack stand, featuring funnel cakes, popcorn, and drinks. I'm not sure if the structure existed when the park opened in May 1975, but it's listed here in the late 1970s and early-mid 1980s under a generic "barbecue rib stand" title. By the mid 1980s it went by the name Three Rivers Smokehouse, which it retained until the opening of Trapper's Smokehouse across the way in March 2003.

The Great Salt Lake can be rather murky, however, in the golden evening light, I was able to get a little reflection. The distant pink that you see is a "hazy" Wasatch Mountain range.

It should be noted that three of the lights at the top of the machine date all the way back to 1941. If you zoom in to the triangle of three blue lights, second row up, third triangle from the right, you'll just about see 'LMS' on one of them and 'OSRAM', the bulb manufacturer on two. 'LMS' stood for 'London Midland and Scottish Railway'.

“Open House Weekend” held 1st and 2nd April 2023 where the machine shop and locomotive works at Bridgnorth and the carriage & wagon works at Kidderminster were open to the public. Visitors could also take a look inside the signal boxes at both stations and at Highley and Bewdley stations.

Being the sixth longest standard gauge heritage line in the UK, the Severn Valley Railway runs 16 miles along the course of the River Severn through Shropshire and Worcestershire between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster. Stations along the way include Hampton Loade, Highley, Arley and Bewdley.

Locomotives are predominantly steam although vintage diesels run occasionally and are hauled into use whenever steam locomotives fail or when there is a risk of embankment fires caused by sparks and flying hot embers during very dry weather. The railway hosts numerous special events throughout the year, including steam and diesel galas.

Trailing for most of the second half, a three-point play by Reid Berman ’17 with 1:48 to play in regulation shifted the momentum in the Jeffs’ favor as they pulled off the thrilling non-conference win to improve to 12-4 overall.

What Shimano meant to say is that the three planet gears have a pink mark. These marks must all be turned to point to the inside of the hub (opposite the way it is in this picture) before sliding on the ring gear. After sliding on the ring gear, check to see that the planet gears are in sync with the pink marks pointing inwards.

A battle for power. One of a sequense of photos where each stag would have a clash. I came to the edge of the woods to spot the contest, I could hear the clashing of antlers so crept into position behind some bracken and just infront of a small tree so I wasn't spotted and was able to get the shots. At one point the stags stopped and looked in my direction, a walker was passing just behind me and as he moved on the stags got back to their fight totally unaware of my presence. Fantastic feeling!

The boy on the left was the only one who got my 'jumping' instruction right. His friends could only look in amazement and surprise.

These are just three of the hundreds of children in Lorega, a depressed community in Cebu City, Philippines. A handful of them are robbed off their childhood - forced to work or beg at the streets, molested by their kin and denied the chance of getting even a primary education.

This is a photograph from the first round of the Mullingar Road League which was held in Belvedere House and Gardens, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, Ireland on Wednesday 7th May 2014 at 20:00. The race follows the roads and trails around Belvedere and is a very testing 5KM route. The race is promoted by Mullingar Harriers for the Pat Finnerty Memorial Cup. Competitors need to run 3 races out of the 4 races in May (any order) to be considered in the overall placing in categories at the conclusion of the league. Over 350 people took part in tonight's event. The weather was positively wintry with a very cold wind in the face of runners for the 1KM and the final KM of the race.

You can share to: email, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Tumblr, LiveJournal, and Wordpress and Blogger blog sites. Your mobile, tablet, or desktop device will also offer you several different options for sharing this photo page on your social media outlets.

We take these photographs as a hobby and as a contribution to the running community in Ireland. Our only "cost" is our request that if you are using these images: (1) on social media sites such as Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, Twitter,LinkedIn, Google+, etc or (2) other websites, blogs, web multimedia, commercial/promotional material that you must provide a link back to our Flickr page to attribute us.

This also extends the use of these images for Facebook profile pictures. In these cases please make a separate wall or blog post with a link to our Flickr page. If you do not know how this should be done for Facebook or other social media please email us and we will be happy to help suggest how to link to us.

I want to download these pictures to my computer or device?

You can download the photographic image here direct to your computer or device. This version is the low resolution web-quality image. How to download will vary slight from device to device and from browser to browser. However - look for a symbol with three dots 'ooo' or the link to 'View/Download' all sizes. When you click on either of these you will be presented with the option to download the image. Remember just doing a right-click and "save target as" will not work on Flickr.

I want get full resolution, print-quality, copies of these photographs?

If you just need these photographs for online usage then they can be used directly once you respect their Creative Commons license and provide a link back to our Flickr set if you use them. For offline usage and printing all of the photographs posted here on this Flickr set are available free, at no cost, at full image resolution.

Please email petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com with the links to the photographs you would like to obtain a full resolution copy of. We also ask race organisers, media, etc to ask for permission before use of our images for flyers, posters, etc. We reserve the right to refuse a request.

In summary please remember when requesting photographs from us - If you are using the photographs online all we ask is for you to provide a link back to our Flickr set or Flickr pages. You will find the link above clearly outlined in the description text which accompanies this photograph. Taking these photographs and preparing them for online posting does take a significant effort and time. We are not posting photographs to Flickr for commercial reasons. If you really like what we do please spread the link around your social media, send us an email, leave a comment beside the photographs, send us a Flickr email, etc. If you are using the photographs in newspapers or magazines we ask that you mention where the original photograph came from.

I would like to contribute something for your photograph(s)?

Many people offer payment for our photographs. As stated above we do not charge for these photographs. We take these photographs as our contribution to the running community in Ireland. If you feel that the photograph(s) you request are good enough that you would consider paying for their purchase from other photographic providers or in other circumstances we would suggest that you can provide a donation to any of the great charities in Ireland who do work for Cancer Care or Cancer Research in Ireland.

We use Creative Commons Licensing for these photographs

We use the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License for all our photographs here in this photograph set. What does this mean in reality?

The explaination is very simple.

Attribution- anyone using our photographs gives us an appropriate credit for it. This ensures that people aren't taking our photographs and passing them off as their own. This usually just mean putting a link to our photographs somewhere on your website, blog, or Facebook where other people can see it.

ShareAlike – anyone can use these photographs, and make changes if they like, or incorporate them into a bigger project, but they must make those changes available back to the community under the same terms.

Creative Commons aims to encourage creative sharing. See some examples of Creative Commons photographs on Flickr: www.flickr.com/creativecommons/

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?

As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:

►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera

►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set

►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone

►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!

You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.

Don't like your photograph here?

That's OK! We understand!

If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.

I want to tell people about these great photographs!

Great! Thank you! The best link to spread the word around is probably http://www.flickr.com/peterm7/sets

DINNER AND FEATURED INTERVIEW

Introduction: Dr. John Kelly III, Executive Vice President, IBM

SPECIAL PERFORMANCE AND INTERVIEW: DARRIUS SIMMONS

Eighteen-year-old Darrius Simmons was born with three fingers on his right hand and just one on his left. He wears prosthetic legs, after both of his legs were amputated when he was a toddler. But as Darrius proved at his 2016 Carnegie Hall debut, all he really needs to play piano is heart. Here, straight from Warren G. Harding High School in Ohio—playing an original composition that will make your own heart sing—is Darrius Simmons.

Capernaum:

Also known as Tell Hum, Khirbet Karazeh, Bethsaida, Capharnaum, Chorazin, Kefar Nahum, Kafarnaum, Kefar Tanhum, Talhum, Tanhum

In existence from the 2nd c. B.C. to the 7th c. A.D., Capernaum was built along the edge of the Sea of Galilee and had up to 1500 residents.

Today the ruins are owned by two churches: the Franciscans control the western portion with the synagogue and the Greek Orthodox’s property is marked by the white church with red domes.

Jesus made Capernaum his home during the years of his ministry: “Leaving Nazareth he went and lived in Capernaum” (Matt 4:13).

Peter, Andrew, James and John were fishermen living in the village. Matthew the tax collector also dwelt here.

Capernaum is one of the three cities cursed by Jesus for its lack of faith.

The Synagogue

The dating of this synagogue is debated, but it is clearly later than the first century. Excavations have revealed a synagogue from the time of Jesus with walls made of worked stone and 4 feet thick.

These earlier walls were preserved up to 3 feet high and the entire western wall still exists and was used as the foundation for the later synagogue.

Jesus was confronted by a demoniac while teaching here (Mark 1:21-27).

In Capernaum, Jesus healed the servant of the centurion. This Roman official was credited with building the synagogue (Luke 7:3).

In this synagogue, Jesus gave sermon on the bread of life (John 6:35-59).

The House of Peter

Excavations revealed one residence that stood out from the others. This house was the object of early Christian attention with 2nd century graffiti and a 4th century house church built above it. In the 5th century a large octagonal Byzantine church was erected above this, complete with a baptistery. Pilgrims referred to this as the house of the ap

ostle Peter.

Lumix GF2 / Ultron 28 F2

By Andy Goldsworthy en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andy_Goldsworthy

A walk on the high moors of the North Lancashire Pennines led us to this magnificent sculpture by the world renowned land artist Andy Goldsworthy. This sculpture was a commission by the Abbeystead estate. One pillar was constructed a year and was completed in 2001

It was quite a trek. I wasn't sure exactly where to find it and the moor is a pretty featureless place. A couple of hours of ankle-busting stumbling over pathless moorland while being buzzed by low flying grouse was a price worth paying

Bode’s Galaxy (M81) is the grand design spiral galaxy that’s leaning toward us in the center of the frame. It’s about 90,000 light-years in diameter and the largest of the 34 galaxies in its local group. The Cigar Galaxy (M82) to the right of M81, is a starburst galaxy. Gas funneled into its core from encounters with M81 cause stars to form much at a much faster rate than most other galaxies. I count nine other galaxies in this photo.

Taken May 29-30th in rural Bortle 3 skies outside Mariposa. Crisp clear skies and no wind tonight, and we saw plenty of meteors and a small fireball while stargazing in lawn chairs while the camera did its job. Something interfered with my remote intervalometer so I ended up with about a third of the shots I had programmed, but I still got a good hour’s worth of exposures in the three hours before that section of Ursa Major dipped behind a tree.
