Strobist Info: Figure are sitting in light back with dark background. Single Vivitar 285hv fired pointing at the top of the box at unknown power (1/2 or less I'm sure.)
Just a quickie I took on my way home from work yesterday, with -2/3 as i wanted to make sure I didn't end up with too much detail and just silhouette's of the people under the lights on the stairs.
If you look at old photos of this area the wall on the left behind the cars used to be a terrace of houses back in the 60s.
Hello!!! I am off to spend some recovery time with my good friend allen. We are heading to mystic lake in the dark tomorrow night(nothing like 3 hours of hiking and switchbacks in the pitch black!)
We are both in the same boat as far as alcohol goes, so I am trying to help him out as he is early in his recovery...

Three cs leyland leopard plaxton supreme 53 seater semi automatic splitter (that still works!) seen sitting outside as its been kicked out the barn so the wheat can go in! It will go back in when summer harvest is over! Preservation project maybe? (inside in very good nick)

About the Photo
I traveled 16 hours on Saturday to take some photos of snow at Mt Selwyn. Unfortunately, snow didn't really present itself in the way I had hoped (only patchy, despite the great snow season). Only had two successful shots, so enjoy!
I am also trying a new iPhone app that is allowing me to geotag my photos without outlaying $180 for the nikon GPS receiver. So most of my new photos will be now geotagged :)

Located in the northern region of Kosciuszko National Park, Three Mile Dam offers a picturesque camp and picnic site. Access can be made from Khancoban via Cabramurra (Australia’s highest town - 1,488 m) along the Khancoban-Cabramurra Road or take the Snowy Mountains Highway, then turn onto the Khancoban-Cabramurra Road.

Brothers Jimmie Lee Coen and Jonathan Coen own Three Two Choppers, a custom motorcycle shop off Lancaster Blvd. in east Fort Worth. This year they started a program where you can build your own bike. My friends Michael and Steven and I have birthdays within a few days of each other. In 2004 we were all at the same meeting during our birthdays, and had a joint birthday dinner - with three cakes.

This is a bit of a revisit of this shot. I was originally thinking of doing an interesting background, but instead opted for a solid black background to keep things simple. This was slightly better planned than my last attempt. Since it was done after the sun went down (unlike the previous one which used ambient light), I used my flash set about 1/16th - 1/32nd power with a 6 inch by 8 inch softbox, handheld to the sides so I could more easily change the angle and distance of the light. The reflections are because of a charcoal/black colored stone tile that I picked up from Home Depot to use for situations like this.
I decided to do the back 2 Hershey Kisses aligned evenly instead of staggered because I think it looked better that way. I thought of separating the two by putting them on either side and behind the foreground one, but figured I'd have a tough time getting it all symmetrical. And I wanted to do more of a contrasty look because that seems to be the mood I've been in lately.
And yes, I realize after the fact that I should have paid better attention to the little paper and used one that said "KISSES" instead of "ISSES" but we had few of these left (my mom being the choco-holic that she is, loves them despite that she really needs to watch how many she has because of her diabetes).
And in case you haven't checked out the other shot to find out the explanation of why three, it all stems from when we went to her sister's funeral a few years ago, and we saw a vanity license plate that said "3 Kisses." And my mom has maintained that that's the perfect serving size. Except that she is a choco-holic...

Week #12 (w/b 27 September) Three - Whatever, But Three - Not one, not two but three … you can take photographs of anything you wish this week but there has to be three of them! However, for those that like that little number 3, the numeric number 3 will be allowed but BIG extra points (!!) as we want to see three little pigs, or the three musketeers ~ you’ve got it 3 of anything or that single numeric 3 will work this week!
Contrast Thursday - Large/small, soft/hard, sharp/blunt, light/dark, colours which display a striking contrast - or anything else you can think of, as long as the contrast is clear.

This three-day conference is offered in the Group Relation tradition which offers a unique opportunity to study the conscious and unconscious dynamics involved in how groups organize themselves and interact with each other. This conference is not a passive learning event that relies upon lectures. Instead, the learning is experiential. Participants study how leadership, followership, authority, task, boundaries, and roles operate in the different group experiences they enter during the conference.
Something that just came together towards the end of the session.

Blurry photos of the 3 Stooges Show. It alternated with Kaleidoscope in the same theater. Though the shows had separate entrances and were run by different companies, they shared some cast and crew members.
