Three modes of transport - the Sound of Scarba ferry unloading cars at Hunter's Quay and, honestly, the seaplane is the little dot on the right. Either that or it's a speck of dirt on my lens. It was a lovely day for a trip on the seaplane.
Only two visible in this shot, though. :(
The Three Soldiers (also known as The Three Servicemen) is a bronze statue on the Washington, DC National Mall commemorating the Vietnam War. The grouping consists of three young men, armed and dressed appropriately for the Vietnam War era, purposely identifiable as Caucasian, African American, and Hispanic. It was designed to complement the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, by adding a more traditional component. The statue, unveiled on Veterans Day, 1984, was designed by Frederick Hart, who placed third in the original design competition.

Yes, Morgan are selling three wheelers. I wonder what it's like to drive. The Super Dry edition was also announced at Goodwood. Because Morgan customers always wear Super Dry clothing..

I am trying to train myself to avoid so many overexposures. This was a good test for that. It means having to risk underexposing, but that of course has a remedy, while overexposure does not. I wonder if I can do this again, lol. When I try to make the scene look right in the camera, it so often comes out with hotspots.........
I know the composition on this shot has a lot to be desired. You can't even see the flowers on her cake, for pete's sake! But I was kinda overcome by this celebration for my grandmother's 100th birthday, which was a few weeks ago. We celebrated it at the nursing home where she lives now. She was beautiful -- her silver hair very sharp, her black sweater spotless, her red-rose corsage stunning. Some of my cousins, whom I hadn't seen since I was a little girl, came, too. We all stood around and smiled at each other.
I can't imagine living 100 years.
