Book binders thread
Now I have to think of a binding that will show off the sewn structure. How hard can it be?

Continuing to use items plucked from storage as I organize my attic as subjects for photography.
Today it's small, Japanese spools of metalic thread lying upon a length of Tsumugi silk.
Threading pattern (Finnish Twill from the Davison book) is taped on the castle. While I initially thought suspending the cross was a cruel joke, I now think it is brilliant.
Some loose threads hanging from a tear in the arm of my couch.

I found these wonderful thread holders at the thrift store yesterday. 7 of them in total. Wondering now how I want to paint them up.
Heavy little buggars as they are made from that heavy composite kind of wood.
Pipelines can be pushed under a road instead of digging up the road. First a small tunnel is dug using a directional drill rig. Then the pipe is lifted to draw the end back and as it is slowly lowered the pipe is threaded into the tunnel. When complete, the end will be welded to a pipe on the other side of the road.
It is amazing that the 'solid steel' six inch pipe is so flexible.

I luckily happened upon this scene while on the way to the bike store to have new rim tape installed on my rear wheel. A plague of flats (only tiny holes) has required many tube repairs.

The competition involved riding the cycle about 100 feet, getting off and threading a needle, then getting on and riding back to the starting point, where a timer waited with stopwatch ticking.
