This is the last upload of Akyu photos.
The mist covered the mountains in the morning.
Even during a few minutes , the mountains were changing their faces because of the changes of the sunshine and the mist.

朝、霧が山を覆っていました。
太陽の光や霧の故に、僅か数分の間にも、山々はその様相を変化させたのでした。
This old dead tree was full of birds today, and it **is** a favorite of the Acorn Woodpeckers. But this guy seemed to toss this one off as a reject.
"Surface Explorer 2" -- I built this in Oct 2002, but only now photographed it.
It was loosely inspired by the 1982 Surface Explorer that was a favorite set of mine way-back-when. (In this case, the gripper claw extends from within compartment.)
For whatever reason, I found myself in Chattanooga a few nights ago. I haven't done many night shots for quite awhile and the Walnut Street Walking Bridge in downtown Chattanooga is a great place to do it.
This is a sidewalk just beneath the bridge. I was heading back to my car when I noticed the switchback pattern and the wavy lines on the left. It just struck me as a cool scene.
- This car was created by Bad Bunnies !! Beautiful mesh work and great people! Check their Flickr for details on how to win this car!
This car and it's reg plate caught my eye outside this beautiful villa with it's red windows, shutters and door. The sign beside the car says- "If you like my car you will like my food"
This was taken at 36,000ft heading west over Austria during some extremely powerful storms. We diverted our course to the south (left) to stay clear of them as the tops of the thunderstorms went up beyond 40,000ft. In the foreground is a towering cumulus, the precursor to a cumulonimbus, one of which can be seen in the background with the flat top.

This snowy owl flew to this fence post in the evening. It must have just eaten because a bit of blood is visible on its chest. The snowy owls in this area have been eating well :-). This is a different snowy than my last post. I saw two that day. There are at least 4 in this area.
This past June I had the opportunity to take a few rides along the Mississippi River. These particular photo images were taken out by Mud Lake and then a few were taken by Lock and Dam 11 in Dubuque, Iowa. I found the river to be a beautiful blue, along with the sky, the algae a nice contrasting green along with the blades of grass, weeds, and reeds that were popping up and floating along the top of the river. Lily pads and leaves were also in the mix floating along the river bank. Nature at its finest. Spotted this small fungi in a local woodland with this Ladybird Larva walking on it. Must have caught it right as it stayed still long enough to allow me to take 5 bracketed shots in camera before I stacked them in Helicon Focus Pro.
Many thanks to everyone who has commented and fav my image, much appreciated.
Looks like this will be the last Earth Day for this patch of green rolling hills. Ever since I can remember, there has been a vast expanse of open space here that I always enjoyed while driving along this part of Hwy 50. We knew development was eventually coming. It was supposed to start years ago, but the downturn stalled its beginnings. While I'm happy to see the economy improving now, I'll miss this view...
Happy Earth Day!

This photo is from Marado [Mara Island]. Marado represents the southernmost point in South Korean territory. The island is about 30km from the southern port of Jeju and the trip by ferry took about 15-20 minutes. The island is comparatively small (approximately 0.3 square kilometers) and you can walk around its entirety at a leisurely pace in about 90 minutes. Marado is home to about 90 residents and "…has long been known for its population being composed of strong women and docile men." (Wiki). While there, we saw traditional "haenyeo" women divers actively working at their trade of free diving to gather seafood.
This is, of course, the well-photographed T.A. Moulton Barn, which is part of Mormon Row in the Grand Teton National Park. Sorry for the late afternoon shadows. I was tempted to go back in the morning as well, to get some better pictures, but getting back on the road won out! Hope you all enjoy!

This is in th e"Not Terribly good club" I heard when I got to Royal Park today there was a female Pink Robin hanging around the park. I finally found it, but could not get a clear shot of it. There's always tomorrow.
This is a shrine set in shallow water just south of Isola del Tinetto. South of Porto Venere, Cinque Terre. I couldn’t find out much about this statue but I imagine it is some sort of sea faring shrine.
This is love: to fly toward a secret sky, to cause a hundred veils to fall each moment. First to let go of life. Finally, to take a step without feet.

Very quiet here this morning. All thanks to the snow. No trains. No buses, no nothing, but a lot of snow. I took this photo five minutes ago from a window on the second floor at home.
This is Kiki my little powerhouse, Mexican Chihuahua x French Bulldog... she is uber attentive, vocal, super inquisitive, very protective, funny, playful and gets insulted if you don't understand her.. lol
This family of Great Horned Owls was seen together after sunset, in Walnut Creek, California. Perhaps they were celebrating Spring!
This is usually a busy area with tourists getting on and off gondolas. This evening I just saw one rat swimming away. At night when it's quiet, apparently rats rule the city according to a local.
This looks like a female Red Squirrel. Until swarms of House Sparrows and aggressive Grey Squirrels moved into the area, I was able to ensure our local Red Squirrels, which are native to Alberta, had lots of food. Now, they have to compete head to head with the invasive species. However, this one seems to be healthy enough, thankfully.
This was such a dangerous picture to take...cars flying at me, cars whizzing past me!! Hope you guys like it!
This female Common Merganser swimming among icy bits in the Bow River in Carburn Park, Alberta, Canada, shows how well these birds (like quite a few other species) are insulated to cope with winter temperatures.
This is a scabiosa seedhead in a small bouquet I bought yesterday, seen in a 60-frame focus stack. I blended the images with Helicon Focus.
This photo of the Tham Kra Sae Bridge in Thailand fits perfectly with my planning for the day.
I'll be getting on a train shortly and going on a short photo trip.
However, unfortunately I don't have the opportunity to travel through such a magnificent area to such a fantastic place.
Instead, I stay in cold Germany and travel to Hamburg for two nights, where I have been wanting to take photos again for a long time.
I'm assuming that the route I'll be traveling on will give the impression of being a little more stable than this wooden construction can. However, the construction time of this viaduct was only 17 days and the craftsmen were prisoners of war of the Japanese.
By the way, this train takes around 5 hours for the entire route of around 180 km. I definitely trust Deutsche Bahn to be able to cover the 400 km to Hamburg in this time.

This ground-hugging cactus is common in pinyon juniper and pine forests in Arizona. I took this shot near Show Low, AZ.
This was taken a couple years ago on a rainy day. I sure would love some rain right now.
It's supposed to be 102F here today, ugh!!!!
