This was taken at the 28th Street Metro Cruise in Grand Rapids, last year.
Thanks for views, comments and favs :)
Never changing, a view that has been seen over the many centuries. Interesting to see in this ageless shot the radar installation that guards the entrance to Plymouth RN base.
This song sparrow was singing on territory at Cardinal Marsh this morning. They can really blend in with those brown background rushes.

This place is in Helsinki, the capital in Finland. It’s a park full of rhododendons. Very nice place to visit at this time of year. Lovely Day ( Bill Withers ) 👱♀️🎧🎶 ICMphoto.

Usually you can hear geese in the distance , however on this occasion these Canada geese came up behind me chattering quietly. I turned around quickly and managed to get a couple of shots , but as I was using my wide angle lens the geese were ' thrown ' further away than they actually were. As a sunset cloudscape image I quite liked their silhouettes as an added interest.

This is a shot I took in the forest here in Zürich on a day with heavy snowfall. I actually wanted to capture the person walking in the distance in front of me but my camera misfocused on the snow instead of the person. Later I also managed to capture a similar Picture with the “correct” focus, but I think I got lucky with this one as I prefer it this way with the person out of focus. It captures the feel of the falling snow better in my eyes. However, I might show the other one as well one day.
A pair of rebuilt former BN GP30s lead the Brainerd Local down the street in Brainerd, MN 13 years ago today on April 18, 2007.
The local is here heading south to the mainline after serving the Wausau Paper mill. BNSF served this stretch of street running 3 days a week back in 2007. This former Potlatch paper mill in Brainerd went through several owners in the 2000s and finally closed for good in 2013. BNSF no longer runs down FIrst Street here in Brainerd, as the mill was the only customer on this little branch.
This pair of 30s, which the BN classified as a GP39E and GP39M respectively, made several trips on the Brainerd Local that spring. Since I lived along the Brainerd Sub. in McGregor in 2007, I chased this BNSF 2748 and 2811 pair several times that spring.
That white Chevy Corsica on the left looks exactly like the railfan car I drove around the Twin Cities in the late 90s. Funny seeing it here when I dug out this shot as I haven't seen a Corsica for years.
Bird, my friend, sing me again this delightful memory...

This picture is a render I did some 5 years ago using Poser software. I think that I managed not only to capture a good likeness of her face but also her figure. I used 3 point lighting. The shadows accentuate the curves of her figure. : )
You, me and La Seine
Shot by my dear friend Daniel
Processed by me
"Here we are
Stuck by this river,
You and I
Underneath a sky that's ever falling down, down, down
Ever falling down.
Through the day
As if on an ocean
Waiting here,
Always failing to remember why we came, came, came:
I wonder why we came.
You talk to me
as if from a distance
And I reply
With impressions chosen from another time, time, time,
From another time"

This is the tiny mountain village of Latsch in Grisons / Switzerland. If it looks vaguely familiar to you although you‘ve never visited the place maybe you‘ve watched one of the three Heidi films that were shot here (according to Wikipedia). Apparently the village hasn‘t changed much over the centuries and its structure and main buildings have remained the same since the 15th century.
