This image was captured for the Macro Mondays theme: "Edge".
From this exercise, I learnt that drips drop much faster than you might expect!
This picture is a render I did some 5 years ago using Poser software. I think that I managed not only to capture a good likeness of her face but also her figure. I used 3 point lighting. The shadows accentuate the curves of her figure. : )
Freeze this moment a little bit longer
Make each sensation a little bit stronger
Make each impression a little bit stronger
Freeze this motion a little bit longer
The innocence slips away...

This beautiful waterfall was our destination after an hour-long ramble in the Whirinaki. A gorgeous spot to stop and have some lunch and play with the camera - a shower cap worked a treat on the lens to keep the water spray at a minimum.
Amazingly we saw no one else on this track both ways - just us and the native birds including a good number of Kaka which was great to see in a totally natural environment.

This is an unposed portrait (shot with permission) of a homeless man in Bristol. He was sat outside a city centre shop with all his worldly possessions plus dogs.
Unfortunately for him, the helping hand in this instance that looks like an 'angel' touching his shoulder, is that of a shop window mannequin behind him. I didn't consciously notice the juxtaposition at the time so it was not staged.
There are many fake beggars on Britain's streets. I don't know this man's personal story (although I know he is known to homeless outreach workers) BUT that something in his eyes cannot be faked. I know he is in pain. And that makes me feel something.
This is the one of the busiest junction of the city but the light trails of the cars make it looks beautiful. Even the traffic makes a photographers feel happy. One can easily figure out the right moving ways by the color of the lights. :-)

Beauty and the Beast (La Belle et la Bête)
Tale as old as time
Tune as old as song
Bittersweet and strange
Finding you can change
Learning you were wrong
Certain as the sun
Rising in the east
Tale as old as time
Song as old as rhyme
Beauty and the Beast
Kim Taylor - DAYS LIKE THIS
"Days like this.
Yeah you think about the ones that went before you.
Days like this.
Have you ever seen the sky such a clear blue."
This is an old battery for SLR, again on the stage!!! 😉

This northern cardinal male was sitting in a bare and spindly aspen tree today and brought back fond memories of Charlie Brown's charming Christmas tree.
This capture in Arches was about 1.5 hours before sunrise. Quarter moon added some nice light into the scene.
This handsome guy was on a HUGE mountain (just kidding, I say huge because I had to hike up there with my heavy camera gear) in Jasper National Park. Turned out to be worth it.
This is the first time I have seen a seagull stalking and chasing down dragonflies. It caught several small ones and a couple of large ones. It was quite a distance and quite a severe crop

Watching this magnificent owl hunting from atop a power pole I had the camera in a portrait orientation to try and catch it as it flew to the ground. Instead it flew across the road and right over my vehicle. A horizontal crop from vertical.
This is yr wyddfa just popping in the back on a sunny day end of July.
What is the meaning of Yr Wyddfa?
According to the park authority, the Welsh name Yr Wyddfa (pronounced Uhr-with-va) means grave and myth has it that the giant Rhita Gawr was buried on the mountain after a battle with King Arthur. It says Snowdon comes from the Saxon snow dune, meaning snow hill.
Sun, sea, boats, flowers, good food, beautiful places, warm people, marvellous beaches...
I'm writing this to remenber...mostly our good weather...it's raining...very windy and so cold.
An identifying place in the spa town, known for more than a century throughout Europe. Thanks to the elegance of its architecture and to the refinement of the hospitality offered, there are crowned rehearsals and actors, musicians and writers "and as the Grand Hotel Plaza and Locanda Maggiore are:" The oldest hotel in Montecatini. The architecture and the sixteenth-century decorations, which still today present the imposing structure, show a suggestion of a near past during which you can also meet Giuseppe Verdi at the Plaza ".
This Snowy Egret has just dunked below the water and has popped up, shaking water everywhere. Perhaps the mirror is there for it to check out the results? I saw this little fellow playing in the shallows and I crawled to the edge of the creek bank for a better view. I used 1/4000 of a second to freeze the water droplets and its crest or 'do' as it whipped around during his high-speed shake to rid itself of the water.

This American thriller film, directed by Steven Spielberg, has been released the year of my birth, but obviously I saw it for the first time only many years later.
It is well known for the ominous theme composed by John Williams. If you've heard it you will remember it.
Do we get extra points for creating the props for this week's Macro Mondays "Movie" theme ourselve from scratch? I shaped a scrap piece of wood laying around in my workshop into a shark fin. This is often all we could see from the shark in the movie, after all...
