This particular flower lasts until frost, so it was visited by many hoverflies and bees, especially in late fall.

Thank you for your views and comments, much appreciated! Have a great day!

This GLASGOW City Centre's mural has been created on a tenement gable end at the corner of George Street and High Street.

The piece, by artist Smug, depicts St Enoch and her baby, St Mungo.

This is another way to feel cool, isn't it?

This night photograph shows the interiors of Leadenhall Market, which is one of the oldest markets in London and is located in the historic centre of the City of London financial district. It dates from the 14th century, and is a tourist attraction. The ornate roof structure and cobbled floors of the current structure was designed in 1881.

This is a hybrid iris, developed from species native to Portugal, Spain, and North Africa.

Photo taken while on my visit to the Tower Hill Botanical Gardens, Boylston, Ma. June 8, 2023.

(reposting)This is a scan of my autographed photo of Caroline Ouellette, Captain of the Canadian Women's Hockey Team at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics. I just want to pay tribute to her talent and wonderful personality.

CAROLINE OUELLETTE IS PLAYING IN HER LAST CHAMPIONSHIP. SHE WILL RETIRE FROM TEAM CANADA AFTER THIS TOURNAMENT ( ENDING APRIL 4TH).

2016-03-28: First tournament without Caroline Ouellette.

Sun, sea, boats, flowers, good food, beautiful places, warm people, marvellous beaches...

I'm writing this to remenber...mostly our good weather...it's raining...very windy and so cold.

Watching this magnificent owl hunting from atop a power pole I had the camera in a portrait orientation to try and catch it as it flew to the ground. Instead it flew across the road and right over my vehicle. A horizontal crop from vertical.

This is another of the wire sculpture fairies found around Trentham Gardens. This one is called Tranquil - I would have called it Bewitched, she has that ghostly alluring and piercing look that feels like she is stealing your soul (or is that just my goth imagination running wild again he he).

Anyway, I have give it suitable treatment in the editing process to reflect the element of magic and fantasy that I find in this wonderful sculpture.

This image of a handsome Mandarin Duck was captured in an urban park somewhere in London. Although this particular duck was free-living, his relative fearlessness probably meant he interacted regularly with humans.

This species of duck is native to Eastern Asia (China, Japan and Russia), where they are now rare, although a large and thriving introduced population can be found in the British Isles and Western Europe, with additional smaller introductions in North America.

The Mandarin Duck is a very rare winter visitor to Hong Kong. Over the last five years of constant searching, I’ve only ever managed to see a single wild pair in Hong Kong.

Thank you for your interest, views, faves, comments and awards ! This image was captured in London, UK 英國倫敦. (Better viewed on a larger screen.)

I captured this rare visitor to Michigan last Saturday evening. I had heard a bunch of rumbling while I was at work that one had showed up at the beach in one of our local metro parks. When I got off work, me and my wife went to mass and after words headed over to the park. We located him out on the beach. He allowed me to photograph him without being spooked for a little bit. I spent about 10 min rattling off a bunch of images and then left him alone. Figured he needed some food and rest for the rest of his journey.

He was standing just on shore when this little wave came in and splashed off of him.

(Catching up as I been working 65+ hours a week for a while now)

An identifying place in the spa town, known for more than a century throughout Europe. Thanks to the elegance of its architecture and to the refinement of the hospitality offered, there are crowned rehearsals and actors, musicians and writers "and as the Grand Hotel Plaza and Locanda Maggiore are:" The oldest hotel in Montecatini. The architecture and the sixteenth-century decorations, which still today present the imposing structure, show a suggestion of a near past during which you can also meet Giuseppe Verdi at the Plaza ".

This immature Bald Eagle perched regally in a tree at Inglewood Bird Sanctuary, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, essentially ignoring the people observing it from below.

This was taken at Blooming Butterflies, located in Bolz Conservatory, Olbrich Botanical Gardens, Madison, Wisconsin. Although the previous two postings were with my iPhone, this was actually taken with my Canon EOS R5. Hope you all enjoy!

This is another shot from Grasmere Lake on a very still September evening. I wanted to capture the concentric circles around the Swan. I used HDR again from a single RAW image.

This Prairie Warbler found a nice perch from which to view his surroundings. The song of this beautiful bird is perhaps the most distinct out of all the warblers. A rising buzzy buzz, almost metallic sounding. Please view large for best experience.

This morning while taking out the trash a Mockingbird was raising a big fuss. When I looked up this Red-shoulder hawk was in the pine tree at the edge of my lot. I quickly went and grabbed my camera and snapped a few images.

This rowing boat has obviously been here for some time, it is stuck in the sand and covered in green mossy seaweed

This stem of weedy flowers seemed to be reaching upwards and onwards. I could almost see it growing...

This female or immature indigo bunting sure blended in with the brown autumn leaves around it. Predators and photographers could easily overlook this perfectly-camouflaged bird. Dad indigo bunting, on the other hand, would show more blue on his body in winter plumage and be much easier to see.

Came across this deserted house on the rural roads of Vermont that was once someone's home. It quietly whispers stories of the past.

Felt very lucky today. This is the first time I've ever seen a little wood mouse in the wild. I took LOTS of shots lol :-))

Many thanks to Mr. Marcus Allen who welcomed me into his beautiful venue and community to take the photo. You can explore it yourself by going to The Oasis of Life, located at the Slurl below:

This railway bridge is pretty much the first thing you see as you drive into Tatamagouche. I have shot it before in Winter and it looked good, but in the fall finery it was stunning.

This week the Snap Happy theme was 'Spring' chosen by Gary. I have decided to choose the boing type spring for my image.
