I think this is one of my favorite images from my Yosemite trip (believe me, narrowing down my photos was a difficult job). I know this view of Yosemite is one of the most over-photographed places on earth, but the difference in this image is that I saw it with my own eyes, took the time to get there at 5am and was able to watch this glorious morning unfold.

To my fellow photographers: get up early, go outside and take it all in. Leave your camera at home if you like, just concentrate on the majesty of this earth for an hour or two!

You think I'm fat? My ass is too big? That's ok! I love me!

Imagine a road trip and the road had no curves. It'd be pretty boring! Lift each other up and straighten the other's crown! It won't hurt, I promise! Keep shining! ♥

English:

If your Yahoo! ID is based in Singapore, Germany, Hong Kong or Korea you will only be able to view safe content based on your local Terms of Service so won’t be able to turn SafeSearch off.

In other words that means, that german users can not access photos on flickr that are not flagged "safe" ... only flowers and landscapes for germans ...Copy and upload this picture to your account - show flickr who we are!

Deutsch:

Chale no?

Francais:

Jinými slovy, němečtí a jiní uživatelé neuvidí fotografie které nemají označení "safe".

Pro Němce - jen kytičky a krajinky!

Nechceme aby se to stalo!!!

Zkopíruj si a uploadni tento obrázek do svého streamu: ukažme Flickru, kdo jsme!

Kdo bude další...?!?!?!?!?!?!?

If you think about it, this funny-looking coat and hat rack makes a lot of sense. Unlike smaller, more pointed hangers, the balls won't distort or mark your clothing items...or worse--tear the fabric if the clothing item is quite heavy.

We may think of the great tit as very much a UK garden bird. However, it is actually the most widespread of all tit species. It is found as far away as Japan, Indonesia and North Africa.

Dianthus (/daɪˈænθəs/ dy-AN-thəs)[1] is a genus of about 340 species of flowering plants in the family Caryophyllaceae, native mainly to Europe and Asia, with a few species in north Africa and in southern Africa, and one species (D. repens) in arctic North America. Common names include carnation (D. caryophyllus), pink (D. plumarius and related species) and sweet william (D. barbatus).

They grew well at home but like most plants sold in garden centers here it is short lived in Florida.

Like Most Men my age, I grew Up in an Era where Comic Books where the daily digest in my town. In those days a graphic novel was a mere 25cents and you could buy 12 books for $3.00 I think thats about the average price of one magazine these days. LOL Anyway.....I Thrived on reading Marvel & DC Comics by the time I was 13 I had well over 2,500 or more. and I kept mine in the protective plastic bags and boxed according to hero or the group that they were in*

I even learned how to draw from reading these things and wanting to emulate what I saw everyday. Boy Stan Lee really had a major Impact on my childhood! Dark Knight/Detective Comics & The X-Men were always my favorite comics. And like most "Wolverine & Batman" were my fav. characters. It wasnt until much, much later on in life that these Superheroes were made into major motion picture Idols.

With the rise of technology and special effects Hollywood has been able to produce what I read for so many years on the silver screen. I think if I had to choose being one of these Superheroes in "real life" it would Most Def. have to be

"THE DARK KNIGHT"..........:))

This is an image I kept coming back to the last few years! I would try a version, think I was happy with it, but in my mind I kept thinking it could be better. Finally, after all this time, I have the image that I always envisioned in my soul. I hope you like it!

Raven - Girdwood, Alaska.

A raven's intelligence is comparable to that of a chimpanzee or a three-year-old child, whether in finding food, communicating with its peers or playing.

Sometimes I think bucks are different animals from does. A case could be made that is true for H. sapiens as well. The bucks are so much more wary than the does. Outside the Fall rut I seldom see bucks in this area and I know they are there. Our beautiful world, pass it on.

Think I shall use this as this months selfie on Crystal and Sue group............. ;- )

I can't think of a better place to be right now than up at 12,500' in a remote alpine environment of the beautiful San Juan Mountains of SW Colorado.

It is refreshingly lush everywhere we travel this summer. The weather is a bit tricky this year as the rains are frequent so it is easy to get stuck out there in a lightning storm as I did just before this shot. In a matter of 15 minutes I saw a torrential downpour to a full rainbow that only lasted 20 seconds to dark clouds again.

I just can't get enough of this and find myself thinking about it day and night. Nature is really reaching out to us this summer and I plan on taking full advantage of it!

I think this bird was a Merlin. The bird was moving very fast so I was very lucky to catch the moment before the bird got the lure in its beak.

Ant Carver's 'The Thinker' street art

This striking Street art is part of a series of works exploring dealing with loss and grief and in this instance this two floor wall draws inspiration from Auguste Rodin’s iconic The Thinker statue which has also been known as The Mourner. This stunning work can be found on Herbert Road, Plumstead, South East London and was put up with support from Street Art Atlas.

WWI recruiting poster. The artist Harry Lawrence Oakley, 1882-1960 (signed bottom right) was a British silhouette artist. He designed posters for the British army while he was a captain with the 8th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment in WWI.

This poster appears in a photo that was taken in Waterford City on 5 January 1915. Wonder how many passers-by paused to consider joining up...

I think this was one of my favorite shoots this summer. I posted more shots on my blog. Oh wait. I mean fall. It was shot in the first weekend of october! Still. Felt more like summer than most days in july and august. I love the seaside. It calms me down.
