Without realizing it I have been thinking small for several days now. I have been reading, with great interest, about the Olympus OM-D E-M5 micro 4/3rds camera. From all that I've read about it I think it's going to be a winner. I've already placed a pre-order for the kit with the 12-50 zoom and battery grip. This picture is a screen capture from the DPReview.com web site comparing the size of the E-M5 to Canon Rebel T3 which I would assume is similar in size to my Rebel T2i. Another way I was thinking small is I took the picture of the screen with my iPhone which has the smallest sensor of any camera that I have.
Foto is gemaakt op de Piazza Santo Spirito in Florence. De man schijnt een plaatselijke beroemdheid te zijn.

The Thinker
Cleveland Museum of Art
I took a series of photos for a brochure circa 1987. These are some old proof prints I did that were scanned. The original images were shot using an Olympus OM-2N 35 mm film camera, Zuiko 20 mm f/1.8 lens, and a Kodak B&W film optimized for graphics. The last gave a very high contrast tot the photos and was used because I had some left in the camera.

At the UCSD Stuart Collection, Naim June Paik, "the grandfather of video art," has a sculpture called "Something Pacific." Here on the wall outside of the Media Center, Paik as the thinker looking at a watchman. Here is a warning to those that put too much faith in the medium.
Think this one is a triple collab between john m. bennet, andrew topel and jim leftwich titled hum muh.
This image belongs to an exhibition I did in Madrid called "Think twice" (EFTI, May6th-30th, 2005). The work intends to portrait the dramatic lifestyle contrasts in Los Angeles, CA, USA. Poverty opposed to wealthness. Each image consists of two pictures together.
A deep thought of the next hunt?

Drawing inspiration from all things that make a city tick, Colombian artist STINKFISH turns faces of unsuspecting people into vibrant portraits full of energetic emotion.
With work created on reclaimed surfaces such as vintage record covers, magazines and metal shelving, STINKFISH’s work cleverly mixes beauty and grit. Using a color palate that captures the flavor of the South American streets, this artist’s imagery does often originate from his own camera lens, but with all the time spent hitting the pavement, it’s no surprise discarded snap-shots are used at times to tell a story.
Canadian artist OTHER has been kicking around this scene long before the term ‘street artist’ was one. Beginning with his freight train paintings that often consist of chalk white, weathered-faced vagabonds, floating on top of colorfully patterned, twisting-limb figures, OTHER has always made it a point to immerse himself in the very same culture he depicts.
These two artists show that true energy and love of art is still alive. Their show is called 'Thinkers of This'. It opens November 5th and runs through the 26th.
