Here is my second attempt at this image. Here I am escaping from only one level of the frame. I spent more time on this one than I spent on the first version (which I was not terribly pleased with) and I think the extra time/effort paid off.

Do you think these trucks have been retrofitted with modern roller bearings? They look like old-school journals.

Someone did a lot of work painting up this historic car which is offered up for public viewing.

There's a big hose hanging out of the bottom of the car at the right end. It may be a big ice box on wheels?

Another of Lindsey’s shots of Baby at the ER Vet. He slept all day on Lins’ bed and ate a few pieces of turkey, at two different times. At 10:30pm, I heated some chicken with rice soup, and he dove into the broth and rice. I’m hoping for a bit more activity from him tomorrow.....fingers crossed.

I think that this looks much better here

this roll came out so crappy but this frame is probably one of my most favorite film shots ever, so that makes up for it. These were taken in Monterey, we go there like every other weekend, so this shot pretty much is perfect for us. Oh, how I love my Diana and the surprises it always gives me.

I think that the modern obsession with pets is a sign of a lonely generation of men and women, desperate to nurture a creature that gives them the love that is not forthcoming from more traditional sources. I often ask the most obsessive pet owners why they are so attached to their pets. I usually hear the same response. The pet gives them more love than any person. More than a spouse, a sibling, or even parents. The dog loves you just the way you are. But the boyfriend tells you that your butt looks fat and you should go to the gym. As my friend Roger explained, “When I come home after a long day’s work, my wife is usually on the phone and the kids are watching TV. Almost no one even notices that I walked through the door. But Laraby, my golden retriever, goes nuts. He runs up to me and almost knocks me down. He wags his tail. It’s like he’s been the waiting the whole day for me. And it makes me feel incredibly special.”

We can never make ourselves feel special. Someone else has to do it for us. And that’s what human love is all about. It’s about someone prioritizing you, focusing on you, pampering you all because you’re special. But in an age that is as self-absorbed and as narcissistic as ours, we’re finding it incredibly difficult to make others feel special. We don’t love ourselves enough to love others.

Sri Lanka is sometimes called an "paradise island". Not sure what the inhabitants here think of that...

This is the biggest spider I have seen in my life!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe we have spiders like this in Montana!!!!! This was taken outside on my back gate!!!!! I'm pretty sure this is a Wolf spider; it could be a Grass Spider. It looked big enough to think it was a tarantula!!!!! LOL....Now, I'm impressed with this spider....but I'm gonna find out how to get rid of them. I found one last year...it carries it's babies live on it's back....yuck!!!

It was almost dark when I come across this thing...took a pic of it and left. It would be too gross to smash it...creeped me out bad...but I'm not packing my bags at this point!!! LOL Check it out in large ….amazing details! This was a dam big spider!!!!! Spooks me! Should have shot it with a pistol!!!!!! Just joking......:)

Info from the internet: Named for their similarities to wolves, wolf spiders are medium to large in size, brown or black and hairy. These spiders also have long legs and can get around quite speedily. Their eyesight is excellent, and they use it to hunt down prey. Wolf spiders are among the largest spiders found in Montana and can be aggressive. Wolf spiders do not spin webs. In autumn, if they cannot find food, they will often move into houses. The female carries the eggs in her spinnerets until they hatch, and after they emerge she carries the baby spiders on her back.

This is a wolf spider (in the link below) I got a shot of a few years ago here in my yard. The only reason I think it's a wolf spider is the info says it's the only spider who carries it's babies on it's back alive!!!!! :P

Tested the knee and did some climbing, had to draw back at times....and find an alternate route up/down the trails if I could....did well enough, I think

Walking the neighborhood again seems so easy compared to what I did in northern MN. and Canada.
