just rehashing the stuff over and over
making it a goal to document more things in my life by means that are more of a commitment than the instagram portion of my visual life
i'm happy with stuff today
A study of simple, everyday things.
4th attempt at filming/editing, and thus far, having much fun doing it.

Inspired by Flickr friends & an impending road trip, I cleaned out things tonight. I will use up the produce & make sure there is nothing green & growin' that shouldn't be! I also discovered between the door condiments & what I had on hand that I have 6 jars of mustard~a shock to none that know me! Admited Mustard Fanatic:)
This is the 39th picture in my series of Shhh, I'm Reading. Here a young man is engrossed in Arundhati Roy's The God of Small Things. Perhaps.
Before I saw Cory Disbrow post this stort of picture in his Flickr, I never understood that at Disney, sometimes you gotta look up. I also had no idea just how useful a fisheye could be, beyond warping the sides of your pictures beyond recognition. If I had been smart and come up with a shot list for my trip, this would have been on it. I was lucky enough to remember the picture as I walked by the China pavilion and raced inside to take my picture. My mom thought I was insane, because I said I wanted to take a picture of the ceiling, but as I got there, she understood. I love the vivid colors and patterns. It really goes to show, along with the backstory about the mosaics in Morocco (read it on Wikipedia if you don't know it), that Disney really went all-out in the World Showcase.
One of a series of paintings on display in the Littman Gallery in the Smith Memorial Student Union this month.
I was tagged! <3
1] I am not a morning person.
2] I own at least twenty pair of sun glasses that I hardly ever wear.
3] Vincent Scott Henley is my favorite person in the whole world.
4] I use a point-and-shoot camera. One day, I'll have a real one. haha
5] There aren't 16 interesting things about me.
6] I love coloring (as in crayons).
7] Eagle Vs. Shark is my favorite movie.
8] A bunch of people tell me I act like Juno. Yeah. Not a compliment. haha
9] I think my nose is too big.
10] AND my teeth are too big for my mouth. That's why I get little crinkles in my chin I when I close my mouth. lmao

12] My lips get sooo chapped in winter.
13] I was in choir for 10 years, and I took private vocal lessons.
14] I wear dresses over jeans. Sue me.
15] I don't know what color my eyes are.
16] And on top of that, I don't know my natural hair color anymore.
Three things that I made me happy today. I would include The Boy but he's not here right now. Owl mugs, Seven in her new tights and my chocolate mint tea.

Well, I got tagged by bluegirlstalked to do the “16 Things” thing, so let’s get it over with….
1.I am still 17 years old. I’m being held prisoner in the body of a fat, fifty-ish, flatulent, follicularly-challenged stranger.
2.I usually feel homeless. I’ve lived in London, New York, Hoboken, and Toronto, and feel any one of the places I’m not currently living in is my true home.
3.I need to confess to having lied to hundreds of women. I honestly thought I loved them, at the time, but having found my soul mate, I know now that I did not.
4.I suffer from “Completist Syndrome”, which is why I have a house bursting with books – often complete bibliographies of favourite authors – but with decreasing space available to sit and read them.
5.It’s also why I have some 41,000 mp3s
6.I am genetically hard-wired to support futile sports teams, among whom I number the Yankees, even though in absolute terms they have been supernaturally successful
7.The list also includes the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Cleveland Browns, Tottenham Hotspur, and the England cricket team.
8.I am in my 36th and last-ever year in marketing and advertising, during which I have lived the old saying “from soup to nuts”, having worked on both the Nestle soups and Planters nuts advertising accounts, among too many to remember at one sitting.
9.I can’t watch the Bing Crosby Christmas classic “Going My Way” without sobbing when they bring out the old priest’s mother at the end. Luckily, this wonderful film has been displaced by “The Bad Santa” on most station’s broadcast schedules nowadays.
10.I am enraged and embarrassed daily to wake up to discover Canada still has a mean-spirited, controlling, divisive man as our Prime Minister. I realize he-who-I-won’t-name is not evil like a Mugabe, but he brings out the worst in all of us.
11.I still love blizzards and heavy snowfalls. Still think I’m going to be told to stay home from school for a ‘snow day’. Hate that I’m self-employed, and so it’s not even playing hookey anymore…
12.I’m amazed to even find myself on Flickr. Never saw it coming, for someone who has sought privacy at the end of the working day his entire adult life. (Maybe point #1 applies here).
13.I have ‘catholic and eclectic’ tastes in music, art, and literature. My friends describe it with different words, usually “Indiscriminate, all over the map, WTF”.
14.Though I’ve lived and worked around the world as an adult, many of my closest friendships were formed in public and high school.
15.My remaining time is not great. I have inoperable heart disease, my kidneys are failing, and, annoyingly given my rekindled interest in photography, my eyesight is failing. I surprise myself by how sanguine I am about all of that – I’m still having a good time
16.Lastly, another confession. I’m probably not going to tag any of you to endure this 16 Things thing. Cheers!

Our 1st Chu Things dress arrived in the mail last night from Maria....so stunning and perfect for this beauty!
Colossians 1:16. NIV
For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.
Sea-Shells
I gathered shells upon the sand,
Each shell a little perfect thing,
So frail, yet potent to withstand
The mountain-waves' wild buffeting.
Through storms no ship could dare to brave
The little shells float lightly, save
All that they might have lost of fine
Shape and soft colour crystalline.
Yet I amid the world's wild surge
Doubt if my soul can face the strife,
The waves of circumstance that urge
That slight ship on the rocks of life.
O soul, be brave, for He who saves
The frail shell in the giant waves,
Will bring thy puny bark to land
Safe in the hollow of His hand.
Edith Nesbit
She is around 5 years old. Apparently, she got into a teritorial fight with other tigress and killed her. During that fight, she lost her left eye. Also her right ear is cut.
Her name is Kankati, Kan = Ear in Hindi, kati =torn .
me and my best friend, in a picture from when we were in brazil. my hair was an unfortunate shade of red...i am wearing my absolute favorite necklace i got while living in indonesia, and the ring i got while we were in brazil. the pic is on top of a pillowcase i got in mon repos, australia (on the great barrier reef) where there is a sea turtle rehab center, and that night, under a full moon i got to see a sea turtle mother dig a deep hole in the sand and lay about 150 eggs and cover them up. about a mile down the beach, and hour later, a nest of eggs that had been there about 6 weeks hatched and we got to watch them race to the sea as one of them even ran over my bare foot and scared me to death! i had so many magical times before my housebound life and feel so lucky to have these filed away for certain days
