Last week I decided to start a self portrait project but rather than take photos of my self, I’ll document who I am through the things I love or own. Plus, I figure it’ll be a great way to pick up my camera when I’m not officially shooting.
Today is all about Taupe/beige/ greige and the like. I’ve always loved color. The brighter the better! Then all of a sudden neutrals sneaked up on me. One reason for my new love affair is the fact that neutrals showcase color and make the slightest hint of color a focal point. And of course the over arching theme in everything I own is that its cute, quirky, floral and fun.

1. While modeling my belt, I realized this is the perfect shot for five things this week... it sums up my life. It feels vibrant in this body.
2. The nausea has passed(!!!!!) and I am trying to get a handle on riding these waves of energy: I tend to burn myself out instead of keeping a steady pace...
3. I've never felt more at peace with where I am. My arms jiggle, my strength training fell off three months ago and yet I look in the mirror and see only power.
4. Tonglen. Tonglen. My life demands it every day. Things that need healed demand it.
5. My mama comes to visit this coming week, arriving on my birthday. She'll go to prenatal yoga with me: the woman who birthed me, standing with me in warrior III while I carry her grandchild. I cannot even bear the excitement!!!

Aiden and MacCready were on their way for a mission and went by a satellite station, and a group of Mutants and Raiders were having an argument. Just then the BOS flew in and things just got crazy. I really didn't want to deal with this and pulled out the Fatman to get this over with. Problem was...I grabbed the wrong one. Aiden fired off a Mini-Nuke and then I heard the first part of 'LETS DANCE'... well...you just had to be there.

Nobel Square honours South Africa's four Nobel Peace laureates: the late Chief Albert Luthuli, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and former presidents Nelson Mandela and FW de Klerk. The sculptures of the four Laureates stand in the form of a crescent with Table Mountain in the background, overlooking Nobel Square.
They are slightly larger than life-size and have the Laureates' preferred quotations engraved in their chosen language in front of the sculptures. The Peace and Democracy sculpture - a narrative work acknowledging the contribution of women and children to the attainment of peace in South Africa - is slightly more to the centre of the square. All five sculptures are cast in bronze.

Castlefest is a festival to honour the sun, which at the Celts was worshipped as the god Lugh. This god brought mankind a lot of good things; he taught us how to grow grain and he warms the earth, so that the grain can grow and we can eat. The old Celtic harvest feast Lughnasadh is held in honour of this god. To this day heathens and Celtics alike celebrate this feast yearly around the first of August, also on Castlefest!
Castlefest is een festival ter ere van de zon, die bij de Kelten werd vereerd als de god Lugh. Deze god bracht de mensen veel goede dingen. Zo leerde hij ons om graan te verbouwen en hij verwarmt de aarde, zodat het graan kan rijpen en wij te eten hebben. Het oude Keltische oogstfeest Lughnasadh is aan deze god gewijd. Tot op de dag van vandaag vieren heidenen en kelten dit feest ieder jaar rond begin Augustus, ook op Castlefest!

Do you notice the circle? This is one of my many favorite things about converse! Its like a little secret! I love it!

All the things I ordered to be able to develop black and white film came in today (February 10th, 2010). Pictured here is the Kodak D-76 developer and Kodak fixer, along with a Patterson Universal tank and a good thermometer. I also got some Ilford Ilfostop stopbath and Kodak Photo-Flo 200 for the other steps. Also, I got some Ilford ID-11 and Ilford fixer so I could try them out and compare the results with the Kodak chemicals. While I was at it, I also added in a generous selection of black and white films, 100 and 400 ISO, in 135 and 120 sizes. Since the Patterson tank can develop both, I have everything I need now.
It's been almost 30 years since I last developed film and I'm anxious to get my hands back into the process. As of midnight, I had my first roll of Fomapan Classic black and white film developed and hanging to dry. Can't wait to scan the negatives and post them here on Flickr.

me and my best friend, in a picture from when we were in brazil. my hair was an unfortunate shade of red...i am wearing my absolute favorite necklace i got while living in indonesia, and the ring i got while we were in brazil. the pic is on top of a pillowcase i got in mon repos, australia (on the great barrier reef) where there is a sea turtle rehab center, and that night, under a full moon i got to see a sea turtle mother dig a deep hole in the sand and lay about 150 eggs and cover them up. about a mile down the beach, and hour later, a nest of eggs that had been there about 6 weeks hatched and we got to watch them race to the sea as one of them even ran over my bare foot and scared me to death! i had so many magical times before my housebound life and feel so lucky to have these filed away for certain days
