I decided to make the most of the rare sunshine and get out in the garden for this week's shot.
The resident green-thumbed expert tells me these are native Bluebells rather than the more common Spanish Bluebells, and as such they should be looked after as they are becoming endangered.

Taken for the 365 weekly theme - Long. It is pouring with rain outside so really had to think outside the box for this one!
For a dance party themed "dress like you did as a teen" I quickly busted out this Sharpie shirt for The Cure. My friends and I did make shirts like these for our favorite albums back in high school, but usually Bauhaus or something like that.
Tank's rather fantastic array of pics tickled my memory about a young lad who once thought he'd soar like the eagles-- but really more like a 'Flock of Seagulls'.
Here is my entry for round 8 of rogue olympics with the topic Icons. I settled on the idea of making 3 of the classic themes; city, space, and castle. I built the symbol of each theme, in addition to an icon from the theme. I built the galaxy explorer with the classic space logo for space, a minifigure with the 2x4 brick for city, and the yellow castle with the logo that appeared on flags in the set.
Thorpe Park is a theme park in Chertsey, Surrey, England. Thorpe Park has frequent buses from Staines. It was built in 1979 on the site of a gravel pit which was partially flooded, creating a water-based theme for the park. The park's first large roller coaster, Colossus, was added in 2002. In 2007, Tussauds was bought out by Merlin Entertainments.

I made this donation quilt a few years ago. It sat folded-up on a shelf for a long time, thus the creases. I don't know when I will be able to hand it over to the local guild (that then hands it to the hospital). Covid is still going strong, and the hospital has very understandably put a hold on the community quilt program for the foreseeable future. I'm at 3 jumbo zip-lock bags full of donation quilts now, with more still to photograph on my project rack. I have another 1 or 2 bags worth to go.
No memory of where I got the block design from. Probably a magazine.

Woodland Theme Wedding Cake (6", 8" and 10") with wood grain pattern on Italian Meringue Buttercream. This was a pick up instead of delivery (wedding was 5 hours away), so I don't have pictures of the real set up / display. I am looking forward to seeing how they arranged the tiers at the reception.
I had a cup of coffee and a slice of carrot cake in this 40s themed cafe today with my friend they are also playing 40s music while you eat, we had a day out together in the Hemswell Cliff Antiques centre. I didn't buy any antiques I have enough old junk at home waiting to be sorted out from my attic...but.. I did treat myself to two nice silver bangles..a girl needs to have a little pleasure..lol.
