While getting out of Tokyo due to the earthquakes and posing threat from the nuclear factory going bad we came to Katata in Shiga Prefecture where I noticed that in the middle of the town is a tiny abandoned theme park. Most of it was cut off from the public but it didnt look like anything interesting inside anyway.

Created for Macro Monday's Weekly Theme, November 21. This week's task is to represent in a macro fashion anything “metallic.” Here is the key to my house . . .
Formerly SeaWorld of Texas, Sea World San Antonio was developed by Harcourt, Brace and Jovanovich (now Harcourt Trade Publishers) and opened in 1988. At the time the park opened, it was billed as the largest educational, marine-life theme park in the world. Photo taken Jul 2006. Today the park has over 200 acres of attractions, thrill rides, exhibits, and shows.
Back in week two I commented that we hadn't had any snow around these parts but just endless rain. Well, it has barely stopped since then. Because of that large parts of the country are currently below water.
The picture above isn't of a river or lake but of a field, now well and truly submerged. If you spin 180 degrees from where this was taken then you'd see that the field on the other side of the road is also below water. It is the same for miles around.
As you can see from the blue sky things are actually quite nice right now!

I decided to make the most of the rare sunshine and get out in the garden for this week's shot.
The resident green-thumbed expert tells me these are native Bluebells rather than the more common Spanish Bluebells, and as such they should be looked after as they are becoming endangered.
