According to the current theme, group members were supposed to take a photo of a pet. I thought of Trudie, even thought she isn't very fond of portraits. She arrived at our home 6 years ago.
Según el tema propuesto para esta semana, los miembros del grupo teníamos que tomar una foto de un animal de compañía. He pensado en Trudie, aunque no le gustan mucho los retratos. Ella llegó a nuestra casa hace ya 6 años.
This is one of the ways Camille tells us she is ready to come inside; she appears at one of several windows with a look like this. We think looking in the windows also contributed to her decision to bring her 4 kittens to our door; we caught "that tabby" staring into our house on at least 3 occasions before she came with family in tow.

A view of Lake Te Anau as we left the glow worm caves in a fast ferry boat. No photos allowed inside the caves but it was like looking up at a starry sky just a short distance from our faces in pitch black darkness. Our guide was silently pulling our small boat through the darkness somehow avoiding the walls of the cave and the other boat we knew went out into the cave lake before us.

Freed from lockdown we took the opportunity to re-unite (via social distancing, natch) with friends in their garden for an early sundowner. And I just happened to have a camera to hand to capture some of their lovely semi-wild garden.
Le Tornado est la pièce maîtresse spectaculaire du Fenix. Composée d'acier inoxydable et dotée de deux escaliers en bois majestueux, elle est la dernière-née des constructions architecturales de Rotterdam. Conçue par Ma Yansong du cabinet chinois MAD Architects, la Tornado est à la fois une œuvre d'art et une plateforme panoramique. Située au cœur du musée, elle relie le rez-de-chaussée, le premier étage et le belvédère sur le toit. Au-delà de sa fonction pratique, les escaliers symbolisent le thème central du Fenix : la migration.
The Tornado is the spectacular centerpiece of the Fenix. Made of stainless steel and featuring two majestic wooden staircases, it is the latest architectural addition to Rotterdam. Designed by Ma Yansong of the Chinese firm MAD Architects, the Tornado is both a work of art and a panoramic platform. Located in the heart of the museum, it connects the ground floor, the first floor, and the rooftop observation deck. Beyond its practical function, the staircases symbolize the central theme of the Fenix: migration.
I re-visited an old set of pictures I took when in Paris in 2003 of some street scenes. This is the second I applied my Lightroom techniques too. This scene (the entrance to Versailles was dominated by plenty of visitors and though during the period when the municipal workers were out on strike, it was one of the few places that remained open. I again added a cinematic feel to this image too as it also lent itself to the process very well.
I dropped a new album today, my first since 2002!
