Lady Liberty, a icon of the United States. First sight people saw when arriving to the Americans as well as the first sight troops saw when returning from the Wars, also the last sight of many troops when leaving to Europe to defend her meaning.
La Liberté éclairant le monde, this copper-clad beauty of freedom, a gift to the United States from the people of France, to honor the alliance during the American Revolution. Designed by French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, its metal framework was built by the famous engineer Gustave Eiffel. The statue was dedicated on October 28, 1886.

Taken near Time Square in the early evening......after a hard day of keeping the city safe for the Commissioner, Batman takes a much needed break.....:-))))

It's a moat
The inside that I carve.
The picture is taken from inside the clock in front of the Grand Central façade facing 42nd Street. The clock contains the world's largest example of Tiffany glass and is surrounded by sculptures of Minerva, Hercules, and Mercury. The sculptures were designed by French sculptor Jules-Felix Coutan.
