Lower Manhattan as seen from Hamilton Park across the Hudson River in Weehawken, Jew Jersey

The sunset these days are driving me crazy. When I see all those gorgeous hues in the sky during and after sunset, I keep cursing at the COVID-19 situation. Once you recall the marvelous sight of the sun going down with the Manhattan skyline in the silhouette, noting else will matter.
Happy Halloween, Día de los Muertos, Día de Muertos, All Souls' Day. what ever it's called it's one on the funnest celebrations for all to enjoy. Also only day of the year you can scare the dickens out of a child and not go to jail...lol..

You must see this view Large!!
This view of Manhattan Island is due south from the Empire State Building. It had been almost two years since I was last in NY, and although the weather on this day was not ideal for images, it was a thrill to once again be on top of the world.....:-)))
Canon 5D MK II, using Canon L 24-105 mm, set on 24 mm, F.10 at 1/40 sec, ISO 320, using the building's ledge as a tripod.

This is the front of Carlos Bakery in Hoboken that was featured on TLC. The store was PACKED and the line was out the door onto the sidewalk!
So I'm going to get on my soapbox for a minute about Explore. The shot I uploaded of the Brooklyn Bridge a few days ago had over 350 views, 100 comments and 70 faves within 12 hours, was in 2 groups (Worldworx and Wink's Place) and didn't make Explore? Yet the one I uploaded of the guy on the bike in Times Square had 20 faves, 50 comments in 2 days and makes Explore. Weird.
Does it really matter? Not really. I appreciate the comments from all of you a lot more, I just find it interesting.
Ok, I guess I'm done now!
Thanks for the visits my friends!
we do not change the sky colors
they change before us
and we choose to keep them
with whatever color they show us
happy saturday to all!

For about 5 seconds as I was setting up this shot. I was the only soul in this massive train station. definitely an eerie feeling in a city so big.
Another view from the Brooklyn Bridge showing the lower deck for vehicles and the southern tip of Manhattan Island.
