I had a great time in New York!

I just got back from NYC, where I went out to get ready for the book launch event there. While there, I shot a secret video with Steve Simon (which may not be secret for long), and I went out with Cali Lewis to shoot some HDRs in Times Square! Cali is the host of Geebrief.TV - a show you should watch for sure if you like tech and spunkiness. Anyway, after shooting some HDRs, we went and had Italian food with Cali, Neil (her hubby), and my friend June Arunga. I handed Neil my camera and he shot this pic of us together…

Daily Photo: New York is Alive and Well

It's been a few years since I have been to New York, and Times Square is better than before! I was actually in New York on 9/11, so it's always good to go back to the city and see everything is still awesome. Maybe next time I come, we can all do a flash mob and hit B&H Photo for a while - that would be fun!

Before I start my next series I have a few more shots from New York to post. This is one in the subway I took, just playing with some angles and I happened to catch a guy stealing a quick kiss! A bit of Orton effect applied!

Thanks for stopping by my friends!

I don't mind invitations, but please no big, shiny, flashing, glitter graphics, they will be deleted. Also, please contact me if you would like to use my pictures for any reason, as all rights are reserved. Thanks!

Sun flare tutorial

Regular HDR tutorial

The sunset these days are driving me crazy. When I see all those gorgeous hues in the sky during and after sunset, I keep cursing at the COVID-19 situation. Once you recall the marvelous sight of the sun going down with the Manhattan skyline in the silhouette, noting else will matter.

The New York-New York Hotel & Casino is a hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip at 3790 Las Vegas Boulevard South, in Paradise, Nevada. The complex is owned and operated by MGM Resorts International.

Within the resort one will find particular gambling areas, lounges, restaurants, and meeting rooms that are named after New York City neighborhoods or landmarks. The main casino area, for example, is named after Central Park, while the shops are modeled after Greenwich Village. At the casino, special decks of playing cards are used where the "heart" suit is replaced by apples.

Made it into the Top 500 Most Interesting on May 21st, 2007.

from st.anne's warehouse's (weird) garden.

With the aroma of incense and the sounds of hymns, a mass of men and women clad in Catholic robes gathered around W50 St & 9th Av in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of NYC. on the first Sunday of September. A group of about fourteen men carried a massive carriage on their shoulder with a statue of a man standing amongst ornate flower arrangements. A curious onlooker myself, whipped out my cameras to capture what was undoubtedly a blessed event, the procession of Saint Martin de Porres.. 🙏

the hardest part about this photograph is how to crop out 30 people, 2 double parked cars and a delivery truck.

You must see this view Large!!

This view of Manhattan Island is due south from the Empire State Building. It had been almost two years since I was last in NY, and although the weather on this day was not ideal for images, it was a thrill to once again be on top of the world.....:-)))
