this is a few months old... nabbed it with my point and shoot... was working on breaking out of my rut and also learning textures... wish I could get smaller dof with my point and shoot, but no dice... have to try and fake it after the fact in PS. Not too realistic, as gaussian blur doesn't seem to look much like real bokeh... didn't want to post it before because it's not that good, but what the heck... i'm still learning, and i'll keep working at making better images.

I found this lovely bar of chocolate at a local garden centre on Friday when buying a new pot for my bay tree. Today the light was very soft and even and a little on the dull side. I had natural light coming in from the right with a day light lamp diffused from the left to even it out. Cropped in Light Room, with tweaked exposure, then pre set kk_breeze, exported into Photoshop, texture kk_simple1 and text added. Job done

Then I ate the chocolate ....... is was nice!

The impact of age is clear on this very old brick wall. Modern bricks are extremely regular but these bricks were vary varied in size. Time has then changed the faces differentially. This wall could define the term character.

Ca. 50 km nördlich von Edfu liegt der kleine Felsentempel von Kanais, erbaut von Sethos I. Der Tempel soll an die Brunnen erinnern, die Sethos dort hatte bohren lassen, um die alte Straße wieder eröffnen zu können, die wegen Wassermangels unpassierbar geworden war. Die Straße führte zu den Goldminen von Baramiya.

The surface looks like rusted iron. However, it is a rotten ash log. The holes were made by insects.
