DPS Assignment: Simple things: Milk
This is one of my favorite milk pictures and I just want to share it again for this week's assignment.
Date Taken : March 4, 2012
Camera : Canon EOS 60D
Lens : EF-S 50mm f/1.4 USM
Aperture : f/9
Exposure : 1/60 sec
ISO speed : 1000
Exposure Bias : 0
Focal Length : 50 mm
Flash : No Flash

Here is a sample of Creative Blur ... panning sideways. Most shots were about one or two seconds, aperture priority, 100 ISO, metering for the mid-tone in the sky. The original is at White Rock, BC and the teeny curvy streaks of light down in the right hand corner are that of the lights on the pier. The sun had already set and my immediate response to what I felt through the lens was a dreamy calm stillness. I knew I'd do something to that effect when I applied texture in post. I hope you feel it too.
I added the stars and my quote brush along with two of Kim's textures - kk_now at Linear Burn 100%, and kk_happyheart at Linear Light 40% and another layer of kk_happyheart at Soft light 100%.
Frame - solid colour ... indigo blue at Soft Light.100% and the font used for Artist is one of my favourites called - Moonlight Shadow which is a Truetype font.

Original image processed for exposure and colour in Lightroom before bringing into Photoshop.

i've been using textures for some time now, some that I made and some I got from the wonderful people here on flickr. I figured since they were so helpful for sharing their textures I would share some of mine. These are either textures that I have made completely from scratch or from mixing photos and ps techniques to get a look I like.
