I know this picture is rather minimalistic. But I wanted to show you the beautiful texture of the sand in Rauðisandur. And for those of you who don't live in Iceland... beaches like this are very rare here. Most of them have black sand, not red, and only very few and very brave people bathe in the sea, which is very cold.

Free texture. Commercial or whatever. Credit is nice but not mandatory. No rules. Go crazy. My thanks to those who shared texture before me. Let me know if I chose the wrong attribution. I chose wrong before and someone got upset. :P

No, no, I did not post this image because I'm longing for spring. On the contrary. I hope it'll be a loooong winter and spring still far far away :-).

But I've been busy today spending most of the day with working through the first 5 lessons of Kim Klassen's self paced e-course "skinny" Photoshop class, finally learning those basic PSE functions! And one of the assignments was to create a "dreamy tulip" image, so I dug out this tulip spring shot.

My, I learned so much today and I can't wait to go on with the class. It seems like this course just offers all the stuff I've been longing to learn! I just wish I had another 2 weeks holiday ahead of me!
